40 minutes of playing time and getting 20 points on 10-19 shooting in his first career start. Where did that come from?
It came from finally getting some playing time. Now Billy King needs to go ahead and trade Korver for a big man or at least some decent inside player, so we can have Carney playing this kind of minutes every night.
I think it's too early to let one game decide whether or not Korver should be shipped off. I'm glad to see him play well though. Carney's one of my favourites in the draft.
I saw Carney in four games this season so far and he seems to be very explosive, quick and have one of the fastest first steps in the league. I hope he keeps on improving. And for a rookie he seemed to be quite solid on the defensive end too. Not sure how well he can shoot the threes.
Yeah..I don't know why Cheeks doesn't play Carney enough..but I think Carney proved that he deserves more PT. Losing effort or not, still an impressive game by the kid.
