Isn't their low attendance mostly impart because of the location of the Arena? I heard and seen that it's in a random deserted type area that's hard to reach.
NJ hasn't been very good for the Devils either. I think its more the market than the area. The Giants and Jets play there, but they have the New York market behind them.

The Nets' crowd is always quiet. No wonder why the Nets are rarely ever pumped up. The crowd is queit even during the playoffs.
It's a bad place. It's easier for me to get to MSG than to the Meadowlands. Compound that it's worse than my university's arena, doesn't help.
The Nets' arena is in the middle of swamp. The arena is fairly old, and you either need a car to travel there, or pay for a bus to take you there.
