<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Maurice Cheeks felt the need to make a move, something that might inject some more life into the 76ers. So he moved Andre Iguodala, who spent his first two seasons as small forward/big guard, to the point. Call Iguodala a point guard or a point forward, it doesn't matter. What matters is, Cheeks has placed the ball in his hands. The Sixers coach did it in Saturday's loss in New Jersey, and again in last night's 95-84 loss to Minnesota. He plans to stick with it, too. Cheeks also moved rookie Rodney Carney into Iguodala's frontcourt slot, replacing Kevin Ollie in the lineup. Whether that switch stays in place remains to be seen. "I think [Iguodala's situation] is a work in progress," Cheeks said. "He's used to the ball going up, going in the basket and [him] running down the floor as opposed to going to the ball. That's something he's got to work on. It's not something that's going to happen overnight. "I think he can be very good at it, but he's got to work his way into that role. I think it's going to enhance his game a little bit more. He has the ball in his hands, he has the vision to make decisions with the ball, he can make plays. He's a very willing passer." The two-game report card: Iguodala 11 points, two assists and four turnovers against the Nets; five assists, four turnovers and 12 points against the Timberwolves.</div> Source
definately a work in progress. If he wants to, igoudala can be such a threat at any of the gaurd positions in this league. he just needs to tell himself that he is just as important to the success of this team as allen iverson or chris webber. He should be a triple double threat on any given night.
I definately like this lineup. This was the lineup I've been waiting for, but it didn't happen because Carney didn't get PT to prove he can ball. PG: Iguodala SG: Iverson SF: Carney PF: Webber C: Dalambert/Hunter
I thought AI was doing fine at PG why move Iggy from SG/SF to PG, Iverson tosses about 7 assists a game, so i dont understand the move and Iggy looks kinda big to be runnin the point.
I'm just not that convinced how effective Iguodala will be at this position in the long run. Yes, he will create some mismatches, but I'm not so sure about his ballhandling skills if he has to bring the ball down the court more often and generally running and initiating the offense. But I don't mind being proven wrong as the situation can hardly get any worse currently.

I think: C - Samuel Dalembert PF - Chris Webber SF - Rodney Carney SG - Andre Iguodala PG - Allen Iverson Would be a much better 5, but thats just me.
I think it might end up being a good move, because it forces dre to do something with the ball instead of just run down the court and wait for AI to make a play. I think this will force him to become a better overall player. If he plays more gaurd, as the year progresses i think Andre should too.

Iggy has talent, no doubt about it, but he seems to lack the drive and the confidence to assert himself in the manner a pg has to. Maybe things will change now that he won't be able to default to Iverson
