<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Ranked - 6 Previous Week - (8) Lakers 11-5 As stated last week: Who needs a smooth training camp? Not Kobe, who's shooting a career-best 49 percent from the floor and hushing all that "it's a Clipper town" stuff. </div>

We're ranked below the Suns even though we already beat them WITHOUT Kobe and we have a better record.

Yeah, that crap bugs me man.

Granted they have good enough team to be the best team in the NBA, and win the championship.

But until #1 in the Pacific Division and beat us, then you can rank them ahead, until then, Lakers should be ahead.

I agree..WE are head of the Pacific Division and we beat other Pacific teams to get there, including Suns...We should at LEAST have a higher ranking than Suns...gosh, but I bet Kobe is reading this saying the same..good motivation [IMG]

these rankings are weekly. suns got ranked higher because they played better than the lakers that week (probably the week before that too)

They're not just weekly, they take everything into account. If they were JUST based on the previous week, that means, at some point in the season, when the Knicks pull off a winning or undefeated week, they could get the top spot. These, are much more than just weekly rankings though.

And I think that it's bull to see the Suns ahead of us. We beat them and have played overall better basketball all season then them. I can understand being beneath a team with a worse record, but not beneath a team with a worse record that has lost to us and is beneath us in the division race, all while underachieving this season. That doesn't make much sense.

Main reason why Suns are likely ahead of Lakers is due to how well they are playing (6 game win streak)

Many are finding It hard to show the Lakers reason why they have basically played all their games at home.

Suns also get more respect in the media due to the success they have had and ESPN knows they are the best team in the pacific and one of the best in the league. That might be why they get more respect than others. No matter the record.

Yeah, there's no way that it's weekly

Earlier in the season they still had Dallas in the top 10 even though they were like 4-6 at the time, same with Miami (which has since dropped) but they base it completely off reputation. I dont' care if were taking advantage of our home schedule, we've played better then the suns all season long so far

You guys are in for a real treat.....

Steve Kerr has us #2 in his Power Rankings.

    Power Rankings

What the heck is Steve smoking?

The Spurs having the BETTER record and a 7-2 road team? No way, I know Manu is out, but Lakers are not ahead of the Spurs just yet.

    #1 Mavs
    #2 Spurs
    #3 Utah
    #4 Lakers

you could switch #3 and #4 depending on how good you feel the Jazz have been playing as of late.
