<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Not satisfied with his earlier proposal to trade Vince Carter, FOX Sports' Charley Rosen now suggests that the Nets must trade Carter AND Jason Kidd to win a championship. We'll get Kobe and Duncan back!! Seriously......that must be the dumbest thing I have heard all season. Of course it might be better for Kidd if he lands on an elite team.
Why not trade the entire roster for the Spurs roster? What an idiot! Is this guy for real? It's one thing to trade one of your main players, but bpth of them? Get another job man!
Kidd + Carter + Uncle Cliffy (or Collins) for KG + Mike James (or Marko Jaric) + Ricky Davis? Noteicks can be added to either side to even it out, or young players like Antoine Wright, Boone, McCants, Foye Nets: Marcus Williams/ Mike James Ricky Davis Jefferson/Wright KG/Collins/Boone Krstic/Moore Wolves: Kidd/Jaric Carter/McCants Hassel/Foye Uncle Cliffy/Madsen Blount/Griffin
It doesn't really do anything for both of them. Except having new jersey's (no pun intended) and one hell of paper works!
Actually rethinking the trade: Kidd + Carter + Boone + Cliffy for KG + Mike James + Hassell + McCants? Timberwolves: pg: Kidd/Jaric sg: Carter/Foye sf: Ricky Davis/Jaric pf: Boone/Cliffy/Madsen C: Blount/Griffin Nets: pg: Marcus Williams / Mike James sg: Hassell/McCants sf: Jefferson/Wright pf: KG/Collins C: Nenad/Moore/Illic For the Nets they have a good defensive lineup with their starting lineup. With capable scorers in KG/Jefferson/M. Williams and Nenad can help out too.
Its really easy to say a team should trade their top 2 players for draft picks and starters, when you make no attempt to show how it could be done. Rosen's just making noise.
Whats the point of two teams that are struggling just randomly trading their main pieces? Do they just cross their fingers and hope for the best?
