    There has been talk about:
    1. Jamaal Magloire
    2. Brendan Haywood (very affordable contract)

    Maybe look into:
    1. David Harrison (Indiana Pacers)
    2. Dan Gadzuric
    3. Lorenzen Wright (cheap contract)
    4. Pat O' Bryant (don't know what his future with the Warriors will be)
    5. Sear Sene (sp?)

    Centers we shouldn't trade for
    1. Jerome James
    2. R. Araujo

Or is Nazr on Colangelo's mind???

Or are Garbajosa and Rasho good enough bigs for the Raptors for the next few years? It wouldn't hurt to acquire a project like Harrison or Patrick O' Bryant though.

I think we definitely need a center. But not just "a" center, Rasho could fill that role. We need an athletic center, that can get up and down the court. Sene would be a great fit, but there is no way Seattle lets him go.

Heck, even someone like Steven Hunter would be a good fit for this team. I just can't see Rasho fitting in....and like I said before, I'd rather have Kris Humphries start at the 5. If we want a good fast break offense, we need an athletic big.

Yea, I've totally forgotten about Kris Humphries as of late. If he can play aggressively and crash boards, play tough D he can be a guy to give decent contributions in 15-20 minutes.

I'm a big fan of Franciso Elson, an athletic and young type of Center that would be a good fit.

Im not sure sacrificing any of our core guys to fix a temporary solution would be wise

bargs is our future center...and right now all we need is a hustle energy guy or a good position rebounder...i honestly think that if used properly that the combination of rasho and humphries can be those guys. when we're getting killed on the boads...bring in one of them. as bargs develops, he'll become a better rebounder...although it would be nice to have magloire in the lane for us this year

if maggette and magloire are both on the block, maybe we can get a 3 way trade goin and land both of them. how sweet would that be?

ps. your friend is on crack. there is no way colangelo would EVER be stupid enough to trade an all-star and superstar, and franchise player in bosh for a mediocre player like nazr. even rob babcock wouldnt do that

That would never be true because brian Colangelo would never make that trade in a million years [IMG] ahaha

Seriously though, I still think we could use a guy with a Samuel Dalembert kinda mold to run up and down the floor with our offence. Even if Bargnani is our future starting C we could definately use someone of that nature. It would be perfect because that person could play the 4 or 5 if Bargnani or Bosh is out of the game.

I think the Raps definitely have to take a hard look at the Washington situation. The Wiz have already committed to one center and the other one is as good as gone. It reminds me of Milwaukee's situation a couple years ago, when the Raps failed to realize that a very promising Zaza Pachulia could be had for a decent price.

He'll get his put backs and lay ins....I don't think we would need him to score that much.....D and rebounding and running the floor would be more important.

Good point, i think i forgot pape existed since his injury. The price is definately right considering pop gets paid practically nada. Anyone know how long until this guy is back?

I see what everyone else is getting at as well with getting basically a second big body up front. Right now if Rasho gets in foul trouble we get run over by Eddie Curry types to the tune of 30 points a game. I think it works if the right guy can be had. Suns used Tim Thomas last year when their front court injuries made their lineup super small and it actually worked ok at times.

Oh but he did. Remember? Vince Carter for Zo', Eric Williams and Aaron Williams? You could argue Zo' isn't a mediocre player, but he never played for us.
