Pure enjoyment watching the Lakers dismantle the Pacers on both ends of the court. We have 15 baskets on 11 assists, and the defense held the Pacers to just 44 points in the 1st half. Lakers have owned the rebounding battle 23 to 11, and everyone is getting involved in this game. This is the best I've seen Smush play all season, he's very active on defense, using his feet to defend instead of reaching. He's also been smart on offense and isn't trying to beat his man one on one. Lakers lead 60-44!
Don't get to watch this game since it's not televised, but based on the box, it looks like the Lakers are having themselves a good game. Kobe shooting near the .500 barrier again and Odom is closing in on a double double.
This is a good team effort by the Lakers, glad it's going in our favor. I'm impressed with Kwame, Vlade, and Farmar in this game. BTW for those watching the game on FSN West, is it me or are the Laker replays shown in some sort of "old-school" format. Since the begining of the season, the quality of the replays from the Lakers look different but cool..
ESPN reports that Kobe sprained his ankle and was helped off the court. He then walked to the locker room by himself and came back to the bench. He did not appear to be in pain and did not ice it.

I would still prefer to hear from someone who saw the game though. I don't like that he had to be helped off the court.. but that may have just been for preventative measures. The fact that he wasn't icing it and was working it out while on the bench does seem to point to a minor sprain though.

He is listed day-to-day, though he says he is okay and is walking with a slight limp. With treatment and rest, he should be good to go for Wednesday. We'll find out tomorrow. Kwame was amazing tonight! Love that guy.
The Lakers won without Kobe while he was recovering at the start of the season, and I see no reason why we cant defend our home floor effectively until he can get back from this minor setback.
Yeah I was there two minutes into the second half Kobe goes up to make a circus shot in traffic and when he landed he twisted his ankle. I was concerned because he laid on the floor for about five minutes. Then he was helped out the court and taken to the locker room. It was pretty scary. Kwame was awesome he was dominating the paint but was no getting enough touches. He could have easily scored 30 points.
Kwame Brown was effective last night and I think it had mainly to do with familiarity with Jermaine O'Neal. These two workout together in the offseason, so Kwame knows JO's moves and anticipated where JO was going with the ball to draw a charge. He was also confident offensively against JO, and we some competive fire from Kwame as he dunked it with authority all night long. I hope last night the light bulb went off for Kwame and he plays with tenacity on both ends the rest of the way. He needs to build off this game and take his game to the next level and become the go-to guy in the post for the Lakers. He also needs to make his damn free throws. The behind the back pass Kobe set him up with was something we should see from Kwame every game. He caught the ball, exploded off the dribble and just ripped a dunk. Normally he tries to get fancy with a finger roll and ends up getting his shot blocked, or clanging it. Last night when he went up the Pacers got out of his way, because no one wanted to step in front of his 270lb frame to draw a foul or contest the shot.
