    JBB #5 Texas A&M @ #13 LSU

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post"> Texas A&M has had nine months to reflect on its loss to Louisiana State at last spring's NCAA Tournament.

The sixth-ranked Aggies try to gain some revenge for that defeat and win their 15th consecutive regular-season contest when they meet the 11th-ranked Tigers on Tuesday.

Texas A&M's first tournament appearance since 1987 came to a sudden finish when Darrel Mitchell hit a 3-pointer with 3.9 seconds left to give LSU a 58-57 victory over the Aggies at the Atlanta Regional on March 18.

The Aggies have yielded an average of 48.9 points while limiting its opponents to 30.7 percent shooting from the floor to rank among the nation's leaders. The Aggies also shoot nearly 54 percent and average 22.1 assists.

Joseph Jones scored 24 points, Antanas Kavaliauskas added a career-high 23 and Dominique Kirk 13 for Texas A&M in Saturday's 74-62 victory over Pacific.

LSU has bounced back from its only loss against Wichita State on November 25 with consecutive victories over McNeese State and Tulane.

Glen Davis scored 20 points and grabbed 13 rebounds and Garrett Temple added 18 for the Tigers, who scored 16 consecutive points in the second half of Saturday's 74-67 win over the Green Wave.

LSU has a 13-9 lead in the all-time series against Texas A&M.</div>

Should be a very good game, and a way for both teams to test themselves. The Aggies face a particularly difficult situation: tonight they face a very solid LSU team, and their next game is at UCLA, currently the #1 team in the nation.

I'm going to say that this one goes to the Tigers, despite the fact that I absolutely love the Aggies and how they play. I just have a feeling that LSU isn't going to open the season with two home losses coming off a Final Four season.

    Final score: LSU 71, Texas A&M 64

I get to see this game 'cuz we have Full Court up here. [IMG]

I'm going to have to go with A&M on this one, just because of how dominant Acie Law IV is and how weak LSU's perimeter defense is (in comparison). Jones vs. Big Baby should be a really fun matchup to watch though, and I'm really excited to see how he's slimmed down - this'll be the first time I've seen him this season.

I've got to take UCLA over A&M though, mainly because of Collison, but I'll probably say more about why I'm taking them when that game gets closer (I've gotta go watch this game now [IMG]).

Ah, you suck! [IMG] That means you'll give me a full recap, right? [IMG]

I've been tracking it on Gamecenter, but what's up with the Aggies? Seems like Law is having a very uncharacteristic bad game [IMG]

Maybe LSU has the mental edge on this team since the last second heroics in the tourney. It's tough to win at LSU and Glenn Davis continues to play sound basketball. However, I won't be surprised if LSU loses at Texas.
