Speaking strictly in the realm of imagination, how does this strike you? The Kings trade Ron Artest and Mike Bibby to the Timberwolves, in exchange for Kevin Garnett (and a draft pick, if possible). Then trade Shareef Abdur-Rahim to the Warriors for Mike Dunleavy (which I certainly wouldn't mind). Then they... well, I guess I haven't thought that part through yet. PG Salmons SG Martin SF Dunleavy PF Garnett C Miller

I know, KG's infinately better than either of those guys but you do realize that if you did that, you'd basically have a team just like the one the Timberwolves have now? You'd have KG, and a bunch of no name guys with a couple of them who could score. (Kevin Martin would fill the spot of Ricky Davis or Mike James). The problem with Minnesota all along has been Garnett has no true second option. All the talk of trading him has stemmed from teaming him up with a second Option- Kobe, Paul Peirce, Marbury. You just traded away your second options (both of them) just to get KG. Nah, this trade (even if it somehow went down) would end up in Sacremento going nowhere, since they'd have no more trading peices to land any one of consequence (sound familiar Wolves fans?). If this trade went through the Kings really would become the Timberwolves and that completely negates the point of trading KG in the first place.
the wolves already have a logjam at the point guard position with mike james, troy hudson and randy foye, i don't see them adding another point in bibby to add to the problem. only way that works is if the kings take on another bad contract like troy hudson
salmons at point? the kings team now looks better then that one. i wanna see bibby to the sixers for iverson, of course other ppl would be involved. just to see webber and bibby on the same team again. AI and artest would be fierce, one of the best offensive players and best defensive players in the game...artest better not say he needs the ball in his hands over AI, obviously he will...
