He's been putting up good point/rebound numbers, but still turns over the rock at a ridiculous rate and plays 0 defense. Still, with Shaq gone and Ilgauskas struggling, despite the Knicks record, think it is a possibilty to see Curry as an all-star in February. With 8 straight 20-point games and 3 straight double-doubles (the only time it has ever happened in his career), Curry, while needing a lot of work, has been improving and is currently averaging about 17/7.
Hmm... dunno Big Z, the Wallaces, Dwight Howard will probably get in from sheer popularity. There's four bigs right there. Another all-star vote might even go to Emeka Okafor. Let's not also forget Jermaine O'neil. Nenad Krstic could get in, but I don't think he's that good.
Forgot Chris Bosh. He has some C capability. But man even though guys like Big Z are struggling, I think they could still get in. I mean all-star is like a popularity contest. What they should do is have the players, front office and coaches vote on it and they cannot vote for their teammates or their own team. Grant Hill got in for several seasons and he's been mostly injured. I think he could play this year though. He's all class and everyone likes him.
The way it is right now, I think he makes it in as a reserve. Down the line, I think it'll be between him and Andrew Bogut.
Curry has a horrible reputation, I doubt that he'll be selected as an all star. Who is going to vote for him? Probably not Knicks fans...

Rasheed Wallace isn't exactly a popular player around the league. Those extra Pistons were voted in by the coaches out of respect for their excellent team record. Disagree with it if you want, but it was hardly a popularity issue. Similarly, if Curry continues to shoulder the load in New York while putting up decent stats I think he'll get the vote. I could see team record being a factor, but Milwaukee, Chicago, and Miami are struggling too.

He's averaging 17/7 and in his past 10 games he's averaging 23.8 PPG and 8.8 RPG. He definitely has a chance if he keeps it going.

If he really wanted to, and started changing things and focusing, yes, but I don't know if he wants to sacrifice his burgers, chips, pop, and stuff for a more restrained diet and putting more energy into cardiovascular training, and work on defense (even though there is less notice and less praise from the nba world for defense contributions). I'm glad to see him playing well, he will be a very important piece for the Knicks over the seasons assuming no bad injuries.
