<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">SEATTLE (AP) -- All-Star guard Ray Allen will miss at least the next seven games for the Seattle SuperSonics because of a bone bruise in his right ankle. The Sonics said Thursday that Allen has a contusion of the talus bone in his right ankle. The injury caused Allen to miss the Sonics' win over Atlanta on Tuesday night, and an MRI Wednesday morning revealed the injury. Allen will miss Seattle's next two home games -- Friday against the Hornets and Sunday versus Golden State -- and then remain in Seattle to receive treatment while the Sonics head out on a five-game road trip. The six-time All-Star selection will be reevaluated in about two weeks. Allen is Seattle's leading scorer at 25.3 points per game, 12th in the league. </div> Link.
I like it, it's long enough that the "we've all got to chip in and play harder" effect will provide a couple wins and make some guys better but not so long the effect wears off and they get murdered for a month.
^^ Exactly. Maybe Damien, Earl can get into some sort of comfort zone and start producing. Our defense should improve a bit too since we'll have those two on the floor more often. Also, this may be a good opportunity for Gelabale to gain more confidence. From what I've seen so far, he hasn't been making stupid mistakes... he's just a little passive.
Why does it always seem like we have a more harmonious locker room when Ray is on the IR? I'll be ecstatic the moment his time is up in the Emerald City.
