The Magic are 1st place in the Eastern Conference right now and have some of the best team chemistry in the entire league. Why would we break that up right now? Like I've been saying in the Magic forum all season, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. The Magic are winning and nobody is going to be moved as long as that continues to be the case.
<div class="quote_poster">nba_specialist_24_7 Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">Raptors Trade Morris Peterson Darrick Martin for Magic Trade Keyon Dooling Travis Diener </div> This isn't a rumor. This is something you did in NBA Live. Peterson is injured, and the Magic have no reason to trade right now anyway, unless it's an amazing deal.
<div class="quote_poster">nba_specialist_24_7 Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">Raptors Trade Morris Peterson Darrick Martin for Magic Trade Keyon Dooling Travis Diener </div> In your dreams Even playing with an injury MoPete is better than Dooling and Diener combined The guy's a friggin ironman! he's a solid defender, a deadly 3 point shooter and spot up guy, and he's a good teammate/been in Toronto for along time. No way he's being traded for these guys
The Magic have 3 starting caliber pg's under contract in Nelson,Dooling and Arroyo,in Peterson they get a good swingman to replace Hill for next year. Ford is injury prone and the raps dont have a solid backup pg,Dooling would fill that need
Arroyo and Dooling play alongside each other off the bench and so far, our second unit has been a big factor in us winning games. As long as we're winning, nobody is getting traded.

<div class="quote_poster">Chuck Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">Better at turning the ball over, perhaps. </div> Dooling averages 20.8 mpg, Calderon averages 16.7 mpg. Both average 1.11 TOpg. So you are right Calderon does average slightly more TO per 48 minutes. However Calderon averages 8.9 assists per 48 minutes, while Dooling averages averages 3.5 assists per 48 minutes. I do like Dooling's energy off the bench, but Calderon has been a really solid backup. He deserves more than 16.7 mpg I think.

Especially when you've got 1000 doctors saying that he's healthy

I guess this trade would be more viable if Ford was actually hurt again
The problem is that Ford's supposed "injury problems" are wildly exaggerated. His spinal injury was the result of a lifelong condition and the surgery not only fixed his injury, but also cured his condition. So he has as little a chance of getting another spinal injury, as any other NBA player. It was a one-time thing.

Your acting like I think Ford is garbage.I really like Ford's game and I want him to be healthy. What is wrong with a trade idea that could cover the Raptors asses in case he lands funny sometime this season and is out for 3-6 months
<div class="quote_poster">nba_specialist_24_7 Wrote</div><div class="quote_post"> What is wrong with a trade idea that could cover the Raptors asses in case he lands funny sometime this season and is out for 3-6 months</div> Orlando wouldn't do it. Toronto wouldn't do it. Finally, you're spamming it in the wrong forum.

The Raptors are a team starved for decent wing play, and taking one of the better wing players off that team in return for another point guard is certainly NOT an improvment. To top it all off, mo pete is a better player then dooling, and Diener combined...not to mention he has an expiring contract which could get the raptors more then Dooling and a scrub who doesnt even play In the future if you're going to just create trade scenerios out of the blue, try to include reasons as to why this trade works or you think its good deal for both teams. If you do that, then be sure you know what you're talking about. Calderon is a strong 2nd pg and is producing quite well off the bench. Ford only missed 10 games last year...im not sure he's had a long enough career to call him "injury prone". <div class="quote_poster">nba_specialist_24_7 Wrote</div><div class="quote_post"> What is wrong with a trade idea that could cover the Raptors asses in case he lands funny sometime this season and is out for 3-6 months</div> because any team in the nba could have a player "land wrong" or turn their ankle, or get fouled in mid air and land on the top of their heads and break their necks. nba ball is a contact sport, and there is always that risk. its not a smart move to move a player...ESPECIALLY a major contributor, fan favorite, and good asset in mo pete in exchange for a "just in case" player.
WOW, this is a horrible trade. How's this?? Fran Vasquez and Diener for Chris Bosh and TJ Ford. Does that sound fair?
