AI will be traded to Minnesota if not Boston.

Here it is.... I don't believe it but:

    <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Mavs, C's eye A.I.

    By Adrian Wojnarowski, Yahoo! Sports
    December 8, 2006

The Dallas Mavericks and Boston Celtics have emerged as the leaders to trade for disgruntled Philadelphia 76ers star Allen Iverson, league executives told Yahoo! Sports on Friday night.

According to sources, 76ers general manager Billy King has targeted Mavericks guard Devin Harris – a favorite of the executive's going back to Harris' college days at Wisconsin – as a primary piece to a potential package with Dallas.

Mavericks owner Mark Cuban wouldn't deny that he's engaged in trying to make a deal for Iverson but wrote in an email to Yahoo! Sports on Friday night, "We wouldn't trade Devin."

King has been telling teams that he wants a combination of expiring contracts, young players and draft picks for Iverson. Sixers owner, Ed Snider, flatly said Friday night: "We'll trade him."

Several teams in the past few days have expressed interest in the 2001 NBA MVP and four-time league scoring champion, including the Denver Nuggets – who like Boston – discussed those trade possibilities with the 76ers before last June's NBA draft.</div>

Devin Harris sounds nice, and we could get some other talent that Dallas is loaded with...interesting.

^ Would not work just like a Pierce/Iverson duo would not work

Wouldn't mind seeing Iverson in Dallas, If It works It could mean big problems for the rest of the league. Surprised that Cuban would take a risk of hurting the chemistry though.

AI and Dirk would be the best 1-2 punch since Shaq and Kobe

AI and KG> AI and Dirk

Not to mention the 76ers really wanted Randy Foye; a deal with Minnesota makes all the sense in the world in my opinion.

Did you guys see KG as well? You could tell how much he wanted Allen on the T-Wolves.

    Forget "Iverson to Wolves"

Minny are not trading for Allen Iverson, their owner has stated they can't afford It.

Fans must be calling for his head. Not only is he settling for mediocrity but KG could be the next aging superstar to want out so that he can actually win and contend for a title.

in some ways maybe but in terms of stretching a team's defense, AI and Dirk would p*ss all over AI and KG.

I know that Allnet just said the same thing, there is still a good possible another team or maybe teams could get involved to make a deal work salary wise.

They would still have his huge salary. Having other teams involved won't change that.

Obviously they would, but it would also be well worth it. There revenues would increase as well as their number in the W column.

It's obvious so why would having other teams involved matter? It's no different to trading with Wolves/Sixers. The Wolves would still have AI's big salary. Hense why Glen Taylor will not be trading for Allen Iverson. It's quite simple really.

I think It is a disgrace that the Wolves aren't trying to make a move for him and help KG out. It's clear they aren't serious about winning. Which is why KG needs to get out of that crap franchise.

Well he isnt going to Chicago, Denver, Minnesota or Dallas, so that leaves us with Boston as the only real contender for him. Although the Knicks have interest, but Isiah doesnt like his chances by the sounds of things, and neither do I, lol.

I think he'll end up going to a team we didnt expect to see get him.

I see Iverson either going to Minnesota or Boston. Either way, he'll go to a team with a hungry player waiting for a championship. I'd rather see him go to Minnesota. They will have a good big and small guy. But will the problem be Iverson not passing enough or KG not getting enough touches?
