I'm sure you've all seen quotes from a variety of sources claiming that Iverson has demanded a trade from the 76ers. Are the Cavaliers a realistic destination. Surely AI would want to play with LeBron over virtually any other player in the League. From the offseason, we know that the Cavaliers do not want to go over the luxury tax, of 65 million for this season and then 69 million for next season. This would mean that they simply could not resign Anderson Varejao. If they do not re-sign him, they get nothing for a great talent. Therefore, they must trade either him or Drew Gooden so he can either start or at least get something for him. It is more likely that a deal would involve Varejao than Gooden as Varejao shows more promise. In addition, Larry Hughes may well need to go as he is a top talent when healthy and could prosper as a more equal option with Iguodala rather than being a long way behind LeBron James. Finally, as much as I personally like him, Eric Snow could become part of the deal. Yes, he is overpaid and the 76ers could use this as a reason not to re-sign him, but he was loved in Philly and it could be useful to bring him back. This leaves us with: Cleveland gives: Anderson Varejao, Larry Hughes, Eric Snow Philadelphia gives: Allen Iverson. Perhaps the Cavs could haggle to get a pick?
Dude that would ruin the cavs. Im not saying they wouldnt be good but they wouldnt have compusure. The cavs are great and with hughes they can win. You dont need AI,
I'm only throwing names around. If I was the GM, I wouldn't offer the trade like that. I'm more asking for input to get an ideal offer, if you see wha I mean.
I don't know. With the way it's sounding, Denver seems to be the most likely destination, if he REALLY did demand a trade.
I dont see whats in it for the 76ers, they give away one of the best players of the last decade for a couple of scrubs and a great defender who spends more time off the court than on it, and the 76ers give up a pick aswell!?
That trade makes no sense for the 76ers. They don't get big expiring contracts, nor do they get any good young players. So it's basically a wash.

It could, I dont think it will happen but it could. You never know what will happen until the deal is done. I think Iverson is very good and could be good at Cleveland but if they dont get them (which they probably wont) then they are still good. They have a lot of talent already...specially Hughes he is a great shooter and a good player.
