Rockets Trade Juwan Howard Bob Sura Dikembe Mutombo{waived and resigned by the Rockets} for Knicks Trade Malik Rose Jerome James
I'm going to go through each of these trade and point out their mistakes. What possible use could Houston have for Malik Rose and Jerome James?

I fail to see why Houston would completely mess up their payroll for a backup center. Mutumbo's doing an admirable job filling that role right now and they could always go into the offseason and get a considerably cheaper, younger, and less inconsistent option. Also, you're making a huge, and frankly unreasonable, assumption by saying Mutumbo would be waived and then resigned by Houston.
