I apologize guys, I was over at my friend's house, forgot about making up a preview. Thanks for filling me in though igotask8board. I'll be studying up the boxscores and commenting later... Damn, McGrady tweaked his back again? <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post"> Howard had 10pts,9rebs vs Hayes' 2pts,2rebs. First time in a long time that Yao really took over down the stretch when he needed him. That was good to see. Nice shot by Juwan there near the end. That made up for his matador defense against Jamison just before (I couldn't believe he was doing the "travelling" motion with his hands instead of contesting the shot as Jamison was going around him!). Chuck Hayes -- 6 fouls in 16 minutes? Don't know he was thinking try to draw a charge with 5 fouls on a fast break. There's no way he would have gotten that call. Fortunately, Juwan was solid filling in. When he's playing well, and when Luther Head is rolling, our bench actually is pretty good.

The best part about that whole fouling out in the 3rd quarter thing (Chuck Hayes) was we started playing better when Juwan came in. If Howard continues to play solid like that we're gonna get better as the season extends.
hi, first thread here. I watched the whole game and felt our perfomance in the4th quarter would be the best so far, every time the wizards come closer, there is always someone in white step up contributing a big shot; and when GI's hands starting get hot, our duo punch hit back:tmac led our team in36mins and yao certainly took over the rest ,not mentioned that clutch shot. i know it would be too early to predict our victory of next few games, bt at lest today there are 3points could get approved by this match. 1 Yao is capable of using more weapons to take on our team on shoulder at key moments like inside-out assist to 3 shooters, make opponents foul, turnaround jump or hook; guess he has slowly learned exp from past road trips how to distribute stamina in 48mins. i personally think it's a big issue for him to transfer from a star to a great player cuz every superstar knows how and when to take over the game.anyway, one thing need to improve on his TOs, it seems to me his TOs rank in NBA never get lower compared to backcourt players. it could kill few matches at this stage bt in offseasons it would become devastating. 2 As to T mac he always has an incredible basketball IQ and now developed a better def ,i hav to admitt he also make other players around him better including yao.that's why he could still be our leader as yao start to dominate inside. good to see chemistry acts between our 2 stars, both of them could share the ball and most important let other role players join the game.man,i really like his cool face whenever threw in a big shot 3 our role players almost have a perfect show tonight, except fouls. some foul like Vspan and Howard made today really gave me a bad feeling. Jeff needs to do sth about it. Just hope they could all keep their pace going then Head and skip to lou could take 3's all-stars in las vagas besides, dont know how many of u hav once doubted yao on his shooting skills, not dunk much ,prefer layup and turnaound, fadeaway jump to attack basket. obviously the 1st reason due to his stamina and athletic drawbacks coming to 2nd i believed he still hold the image of MJ in his childhood, i couldn't quote the exact words, btw he did once tell a coach in a youth camp that with his height if using more tech like MJ,no one in the world can stop him putting the ball into basket. LOL,just portray how MJ would perform if had the same height as yao. anyone in Hou can tell me what's exactly going on with T mac's back? my heart nearly stop beat inside at that time, will he be able to appear on lal?
<div class="quote_poster">Umair Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">Tmac had back spasms. </div> yeah, thx buddy, just got the info from official site. wonder if any health professional here could tell me how long and serious wil back spasms affect an atheletic player like T mac? any conservative treatment ?if worse ,over and over again, could it gradually become habitual? let's pray him not being injury-prone ,we need that T mac in 04-05 back
Back spasms can not be cured...they happen because of genetics, fatgiue, or spinal problems. Tmac is expected to play Tuesday against Kobe-less Lakers.

This is pretty much the same injury that ended Larry Bird's career. I think TMac will play a few more seasons, but his career will be cut short and he'll never play close to a full season again.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't T-Mac going to be ready for the next game against LA? Like he stepped on brenden haywoods foot. he will play tuesday, but i dont think tmac will play with an other contract.

Juwan literally did the travelling motion with his hands as Jamison was going around him. It's no wonder he averages a blocked shot every blue moon. What was solid about his defense, btw? <div class="quote_poster">Quoting Rock4Life:</div><div class="quote_post">Great analysis!!! I'm very proud of you. And I think Washington not having its 1st and 2nd options at center (not to mention its two best defensive players) had more to do with us winning the game in the 4th quarter than Juwan replacing Chuck.
Like I said before, this Hayes and Howard argument needs to end. I dont care how or who helps the team more as long as both help enough for us to win games. Yao scored 23 points in fourth quarter and that shot with 11 seconds to seal the game. With Tmac out, we definetly needed Yao to step up and he did. Great win!
