Winthur FCB vs. CSKA Moscow is being broadcast this week on Raptors Network as their euroleague game of the week. anyway Winthur FCB is Raptor prospect Roko Leni Ukic's team. He looked pretty impressive against arguably the best team in the euroleague's right now (CSKA). Anyway you can catch the game on sunday, 2pm eastern on raptors network. Its a rebroadcast i watched the game this morning so i won't post his statline.
I caught some of the game, Roko looks decent. His style looks like it would translate well to the NBA. He needs to get bigger though otherwise he'll get abused TJ Ford styles by opposing guards.

He controlled the pace pretty well and I like his ability to penetrate and still find an open man in traffic. That said, he didn't really stand out to me. Maybe it was just the team's overreliance on that Navarro dude, but he was passive for large stretches of the game. Also, Fran Vasquez would've been a bust even if he did come and play for the Magic.
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Roko no go: Not good news for you Roko Ukic fans out there. Talking to Maurizio Gherardini last weekend, the Raptors assistant poo-bah figures Ukic is not getting nearly the development he needs with Barcelona. The former second-round pick hardly plays, he's in a walk-it-up-system that doesn't showcase his skills and he probably needs another year over in Europe after this one just to get his confidence back. There's a chance both Gherardini and Bryan Colangelo will be in Spain to see Ukic play against Rudy Fernandez late this week and try to help him find out a way out of his situation. "It's not talent, that's not the issue," said Gherardini. "He's just got to get his confidence. And play." Best bet here is you don't see Ukic in Toronto until 2008. - Doug Smith </div> Nothing But Internet
