I don't care about the fans as much. Every artist is bound to have obsessive fans who consider him/her the greatest of all time. There's no point in hating them for that. I personally don't like Lil Wayne's music, but that's not what makes me really dislike him. It's his arrogance and the fact that he uses annoying statements like this to raise publicity for himself. Its disrespectful to the genre that he's benefiting from and I can't stand it. 50 Cent's exactly the same thing for me.

Lil Wayne isnt bad to me because he is what he is, a rapper with some nice songs and some nice lines. I don't listen to him nearly as much as I used to. I'm not a Wayne Stan, I'm a Wayne fan.
