Looks like a deal could get done as soon as next week if FA ever STARTS!! Got that off my chest but I think Brees wil put the Phins over the hump and they'll make the playoffs next year. I got that hunch.

Though my boy Brodie Croyle appears to be slipping to late round 2 now.

If they got Brees and drafted Tye Hill to fill their huge gap at corner they could be a good playoff team.

I really did not know that Miami was interested in Brees. I still think its a smoke screen. Drew & Tim Couch have the same agent.

Brodie Croyle reminds of Jay Feidler only with a stronger arm. The Crimson Tide's offensive philosophy is like Wanny's was.

I am thinking Miami will go OL in round 1 (Justice from USC or McNeill from Auburn) then a CB in round 2 J Joseph (S Carolina if he's on the board) or Cedric Griffin who started opposite Michael Huff at Texas.

miami with the personnal they had last yr had a competitive but sub-par yr as far as that franchise goes..... but with the addition of brees and a little help in there secondary? wooahh look out lol i don't like em but damn. i give them credot where its due for getting saban.... he can get them back to the prestige and winning ways. Granted however brees is the one we saw the past couple years no telling how his shoulder is BUT, all indications are that the shoulder is fine so far in rehab over the espn..... overall haven't heard to much about that since it happend last yr just a little here and there... but with the fire power on offense look out..

I'd heard that Brees will not thrive in Miami w/o LT & Gates.

Brees will help Brown progress and granted McMichael is no Gates but Miami at least has Chambers and the Chargers had McCardell on the downside of his career.

I'm not trying to be a dick but how do you know that brees and chambers will click, what makes you say that without ever seeing them play together

I didn't say the Drew And Chambers would click. I said, unlike SD, the phins have a better #1 WR.

chambers is a great great WR, he'll click with a guy who can throw the ball and Brees can if his shoulder isnt too bad. It'd be funny if Brees was the next Chad Pennington. Its a possiblility. lol

i really dont know i just think they will...just a prediction, you know...Brees is a better QB then people give him credit for, he and Antonio clicked well...and if chambers is as hot as he was last season with Frerotte, man it could be a good combo...

Drew won't be the next Chad IMO. While I'm not totally sold on Brees in Miami, he would be an upgrade over the last few years.

I bet Ramseylands w/ the jets.

McMichael is better then alot of people give him credit for. Brees to Miami means that Miami is going to be scary next season. I've said that before and I'll continue to say it until we find out where Brees is going, lol.

If he happens to go to Miami, guess I'll be saying it again too, lol.

Latest I heard is that the Saints have Brees all but locked up. That makes for an interesting draft scenario.

Yea if they due sign Brees that would really change the face of the draft. They wont take a Mario Williams becuase they have Will Smith and Charles Grant. They would probly trade back and pick AJ Hawk if they got Drew Brees.

Really!! That is interesting. They said they loved Matt Leinart as well though. I heard Brees was going to Miami and if not Miami then there are rumors of the Vikings paying $$ for him. Never heard anything on the Saints.

If this does go through then I would assume the Saints would take D'Brickashaw Ferguson with their first round pick. Leinart would go to Tennessee.

I just read that as well.

I wonder if this will cause one the QB's to plummet like Rodgers did last year. Cutler or Lineart would be fine with me.
