Rockets guard Tracy McGrady has been ruled out for tomorrow's home game against the Los Angeles Lakers. McGrady first experienced back spasms Saturday night in the 4th quarter of the Rockets victory over the Washington Wizards.

T-Mac believes the situation is not as bad as the spasms which sidelined him for most of last season, and he is officially listed day to day, but for the Rockets and their fans the situation has them holding their collective breath.

McGrady missed 34 games last season with back problems, but has been healthy this season. He is a major reason the Rockets have gotten off to an excellent start posting a 14-6 record.

One other NBA note, the league has decided to scrap the synthetic ball which is being used in games this season. After the players union filed a protest, the NBA has decided to go back to the old leather ball in games beginning January 1.

The Rockets have now changed McGrady's status to "out indefinitely".
