Sorry to post off topic, but, we are the real deal mayne. Spurs on a back-to-back @ Clippers and Clips lose by 22. Yet, we beat the Spurs convincingly when they were fresh yesterday. I hope all the "Who's the better team in L.A." gets nipped in the bud. People need to stop looking to last season when debating this topic. Facts are the Lakers are an actual WELL-ROUNDED team this year, not just the Kobe show (well, not always atleast ) The additions of Evans, Farmar, and Radmanovic, not too mention the maturation and consistency of Lamar Odom, Kwame Brown, and Andrew Bynum, and Ronny Turiaf. DAMN, we are gonna be scary good!! Thoughts please?
I don't know if this loss by the Clips says much. The Spurs are an elite team, they're going to blow out good teams some nights and lose other nights. I think we're better than the Clippers, but I don't know by how much. We've had a heavy home schedule, until we play some road games agaisnt tough teams, I'm going to reserve judgment.

The Clips have also lost to Utah and the Suns, and not too mention the Lakers TWICE. The Lakers have beat ALL 3 of those teams this year and lost a tough one at Utah which we let slip away. You can't deny the Lakers this year. THey have played AMAZING against the best teams in the league. That's the most important part. Not about losing fluke games to the Bucks and Hornets, though HORRIBLE losses, in a Best of 5 or 7, Lakers win 99/100 times in my opinion.
I think we're a good team, but I want to see how well we do on the road. Our schedule has been very good to us with all the early home games, but we have yet to really have an extended trip on the road. If we have success when we hit the road, I'll really believe us to be legit players out West.
Clippers have a lot of issues right now, and the main difference this season is they aren't surprising teams anymore. They have a target on their backs from the success of last year and teams take them seriously. The Lakers always have a target on their back, so they're used to facing teams competing at a high level against them. The Lakers are improved from last year and have the depth to compete against the second unit of other teams. Last year our bench was getting killed by opponents, this year our bench can hold it's own and can get us back in games.
