<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Scratch that first showdown of the season between Tracy McGrady and Kobe Bryant. McGrady, suffering from back spasms, has been ruled out of tonight's game against the Los Angeles Lakers at Toyota Center. He is listed as day-to-day. "He's still stiff and sore," said Keith Jones, Rockets head trainer. "We're treating him with heat and with a vacuum decompression unit that we got for him over the summer. He's also taking anti-inflammatories." McGrady had to leave Saturday night's game against the Wizards in Washington with 6:54 left in the fourth quarter after he jumped to try to block a shot by Gilbert Arenas.</div> Source
I think he is just scared. Nah, j/k. I think this might help the Lakers chances against a team like this, but then again there is Yao.
I sense another bad game like we had against the Hornets. They're probably going to think "no Tmac no problem".

This is our second real road test of the season so I expect the team to be focused. The Lakers should win this game, because they have the luxury of being able to defend Yao straight up with either Kwame or Bynum. Rockets have not had much success against teams who can single cover on Yao.
This is kind of bad as he hasn't exactly been playing well. I get to watch this game as well, I can't wait. I'm anticipating Kwame and Bynum abusing Yao.
Kwame should match up well with Yao defensively. I think the Bynum/Kwame combo should slow down Yao alot. No T-mac? Houston willl rely on Yao much more tonight. I see the Lakers taking this one.
TMac, or no TMac, I see the Lakers winning this game. They are playing great team ball, and it was great to see role players like Luke, Smush and Kwame step up against the Spurs. Also, good to see Kobe letting the game come to him and deferring to his teammates more, thus giving them more confidence. If they keep playing like this, they're a lock for the second round, maybe farther.

Dont get too happy Lakers fans. Yao carried Rockets against Wizards with a game deciding shot, so dont get too happy because we have two options, but us without Tmac reduces our chances of winning. Look for us to go to Yao Ming a lot more. He needs to start and finish good for us to win and Lakers to lose. GO ROCKETS!!!!!

aw! i would have liked a kobe tmac match up! coz kobe hasnt won a matchup yet against a top 10 SG in the league... oh well maybe after Dallas we play houston again

Kwame is the best post presence on the Lakers Squad right now and he lives for these types of matchups. I'll bet we'll see some one on one matchups with Yao vs. Brown. Brown's confidence is through the roof right now, and his game has really improved overall.
i really hope a healthy tmac can play when the rockets visit LA... i'd love to see kobe and tmac go at it
Rockets lead 25-21 after the 1st quarter. The Lakers have not attempted a single FT attempt, we need to get to the line and just pound inside. Kobe is forcing instead of moving the ball around and letting the game come to him. Lamar needs to take advantage of his mismatch. DAMN Bynum just picked up his 2nd foul.
