They don?t even like the guy that much ? don?t like his contract, actually ? but he?s available, he can still play a little, and they thought he might be the kind of four you can plug in and get some numbers from. Maybe they talk about him again, maybe not. The organization is split on him, probably because he makes $6.4M, with $6.9 and $7.4 coming up.
Source
Jefferson would be a little more realistic. http://games.espn.go.com/nba/features/trad...ams=17~17~17~10 Luther Juwan Sura for Richard Jefferson I'd hate to lose Head, and this trade would never happen. If Bonzi got back in shape, Juwan Howard and Bonzi for RJ seems fair, since they are interested in J-Ho.
To think the Rockets could have had RJ all along, if it weren't for that silly Eddie Griffin fiasco. Though where would you put RJ in the Rockets lineup that already has TMac and Battier?
Only position where the Nets are in need is PF and back up center. We would have to give up Chuck hayes for anything to happen.

Besides Krstic, New Jersey has no post threat, and as a result, have to play donut offense where their scoring has to mainly come from the wing. Hayes isn't much of an upgrade over Jason Collins for them.
