<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">5 (6) Lakers 14-6 We repeat: Who needs a smooth training camp? Kobe's Lakers couldn't have finished their forever stay at Staples (16 of 20 games) any stronger, roughing Spurs up.</div>Good to see the Lakers getting some respect. #7 in NBA.com, #1 in Yahoo, and #5 in ESPN here. Also, as I was noticing, of the top four teams ahead of us, we've knocked off 3 of them, with the Mavs being the only exception. Also, someone care to explain to me how the Clipps are ahead of the Nugs when they've lost what, 6 or 7, something like that, and have a worse record. Doesn't make sense.

Yeah, the Lakers are ranked pretty high. I don't like that #1 ranking though. Im still skeptical about the team. When we hit the road and come up with a win streak, I'll be much more confident.

The Mavs are going to be tough to beat without Odom on the court. Odom creates alot of mismatches which will be missed. Kobe is going to have to have a huge game and Luke needs to put up some nice numbers... Radman needs come up big too. He had a pretty decent game against Houston which helped us win.

It's not longer a matter of how well we do on the road, it's now more of a matter of how well we do without Lamar. It's going to be a rough month or so, not only because we're on the road, but because we just lost a huge part of our team last night. If we can continue to play well without him during this month or so, I'll be giddy.

Its Kobe's job to keep the team winning. Lamar did it in kobe's absence, and it now Kobe's turn to return the favor.
