<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Magic Coach Brian Hill said Tuesday that point guard Jameer Nelson could miss at least tonight's game against the Toronto Raptors, and that shooting guard Grant Hill will be rested Thursday against the Charlotte Bobcats. Small forward Hedo Turkoglu is already on the shelf with a sprained right ankle. Center Dwight Howard was the only member of the original starters who practiced Tuesday. Power forward Tony Battie and Grant Hill were rested while Nelson and Turkgolu were rehabbing. Despite reserve shooting guard Keith Bogans (sprained right ankle) being sidelined, Grant Hill is expected to be held out Thursday in Charlotte, N.C., the second game of the Magic's sixth back-to-back series and their first nationally televised game of the season. The club said before the season that it would rest Hill -- who, at 34, spent the summer rehabbing a sports hernia injury -- as a precaution in some back-to-back situations.</div> Source So let's get this straight. Bogans, Hill, Turkoglu, and Jameer could all be out against Charlotte tomorrow. Maybe we see Redick's first career start? Starting or not, he's going to get big minutes.
Haha, now you know what it feels like to be a Laker fan. So far this season, we've gone without Kobe and Kwame, Radman has been hurt, and now we lose Odom. All those injuries surely won't help you guys though. Be happy it's Charlotte and not someone like the Pistons.
It's gonna be Arroyo, Dooling, Ariza, Battie, Dwight with Redick, Diener, Darko, Bo, Garrity off the bench.
We will need JJ to have a big game if we want any chance of winning this game. Bogans is listed as day to day, so hopefully he will be able to play, so that JJ doesn't get 25-30 minutes.

He was nervous last night because that's the most he's played all year. Now that he got the nerves out, he should be focused and I'd be interested to see what he could do with a big chunk of minutes tonight against his college rival Adam Morrison.

He is a liability on defense, because he hasn't gotten used to the speed yet. We would probably lose by at least 10-15, IMO.

I do know that we are worse when Bogans is in the game than we are when Redick is in. JJ stretches the defense and Keith always tries to score whenever he is in and that isn't his game. I would be fine with Bogans if he just went in there and played defense and did the dirty work. What bugs me is when he starts taking three pointers and stupid shots.
How long are these guys expected to be out for? I think a free agent signing might be a good option for the team if no one is expected to come back soon.

He normally hits his shots when he comes in too, but he does provide good defense and very good rebounding for his size. I would much rather see Bogans in right now then Redick, just because Redick still hasn't learned the NBA game yet. We need to ease him in slowly and not force him into a 25-30 minutes in his 2nd ever game really getting significant PT. Later on in the season I will hopefully take this comment back and say that I want Redick out there over Bogans, but right now I'd much rather see Bogans out there. Bogans is just day to day. Jameer won't play this week. Hedo probably has another week and lastly I'm not sure on Grant Hill's status. I just know that he was sitting today anyway to rest up.
Sounds like Bogans might play tomorrow. We need him badly. It doesn't look likely that any of our 3 starters will play though.
<div class="quote_poster">TheHighness Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">Grant is going to play tonight isn't he?</div> It depends on how he feels. I would list him as questionable.
