Moss was on the dan patrick show a month ago and he said him and Peps talked just the night before and they talked about reuniting being a Cindrella Story.</div> So Moss says, but he's full of crap. I was born at night, but not last night. I remember all of the drama that the Moss/Culpepper combo produced in Minnesota. I remember all the mudslinging that took place as Moss was shown the door. Who are they trying to fool? Culpepper is no innocent lamb in all of this. He disgraced his team on the Love Boat, now he wants to blame him for the way he's being treated. The real reason the Vikings are ready to dump Culpepper is because they want him to be a leader, but he continues to act like a little baby. I'm praying that Culpepper goes to Oakland because I absolutely don't want to see him in Miami.</div> Moss and Culpepper both said they'd like to reunite. They said it'd be like a Cindrella story. Don't get me wrong? They had their problems. I don't think it was as bad as people made it out to be but if they reunite I'm sure things will be fine for A WHILE. There good now but there's a good chance it goes back to hell with those two.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (DolfanDale)</div><div class='quotemain'>When talking about Culpepper, why does it sound like everyone has forgotten that he shredded his knee last year? The talk makes it sound like a foregone conclusion that Culpepper will be able to return to his old form. Considering that he stunk last year, before tearing up his knee, I would think that he would have very little trade value. A clean bill of health would raise his stock, but I haven't heard anyone say that his knee is in good shape.</div> I have not forgotten about his knee or his attitude regarding the love boat scandal. My gut instinct is to pass on this guy as did Jimmy Johnson years ago. He also passed on Moss. Say what you will About Ole helmet hair; he did have some flair (woooooooo!) for talent evaluation.

Well ESPN is reporting that the front contenders for Culpepper for a trade before Saturday is Oakland and the Dolphins. I think the dolphins have the best shot because they have more money to work with. Oakland would have to basically let their defense go to shit for them to get under the cap for Culpepper's deal.
If Miami lands Culpepper to the displease of our Dolphin fans on here then I'm almost certain Drew Brees will sign with the Vikings.
I don't know. I haven't heard anything definite, but some insiders have said that Brees's shoulder is worse than Pep's knee. If that's the case, then obviously let's hope we don't sign him.
I heard on NFL.com that he has already been traded and that the deal should go through sometime on Friday. The only two teams that know where he is going is the Vikings and the team that gave up whatever for him. There still is a strong possiblity that he going to end up in Oakland. As long as he isn't in the NFC North, I don't care where he ends up.
I would rather see the Dolphins go after Brees than Culpepper just because Brees is less of a magnet for drama. I do worry about Brees' shoulder, but he has gotten a seal of approval from Dr. James Andrews. After all of the speculation and rumors, watch the Dolphins opt for Patrick Ramsey instead.
Here's what's been reported. Can't sleep so I felt like coming online. There are 2 teams interested in Culpepper. OAKLAND and another team that has made an offer that Minnesota will accept pending Oakland?s. The other teams is believed to be MIAMI though it's not 100% confirmed. Vikings are waiting on what the Raiders are going to do. They'll probably put in an offer and then Minnesota will decide between the two. My guess is it's nothing more than a 2nd rounder and maybe a compensation pick pending his performance this year. My gut tells me if Culpepper goes to Miami then Minnesota will sign Drew Brees. If not I think Brees signs with Miami.
I did see a story suggesting that the deal was agreed upon, but that Oakland could come in and trump the offer....they mentioned there was a trading partner, and acceptable compensation had been offered.....they fail to mention the team or the offer.....I also read that Ramsey to the Jets for a 5th was all but done....
2 new things I just read: 1. A Baltimore newspaper reports that the Ravens have not made an offer, so that would eliminate them from being the team that has reached agreement.... 2. According to the Miami Herald, a Minneapolis TV station reported late last night, that the Dolphins are the likely team.... In Nick I trust! If he trades for Culpepper, then I trust its the right thing to do....If he signs Bress, then I trust its the right thing to do....we should know shortly, because the Vikings appear determined to do this deal today....
If this deal comes through for the raiders, they are gonna have to release a whole lot more players. They are still 4 million over the cap, and Culpeppers # will probly be around 5 million and they need 3 million to sign rookies so they will have to release 12 million dollars in players to get Culpepper
I just read that the Dolphins are not the ones either. I think it is going to be Arizona. Word on the street is that this will be a deal straight up for a conditional 2007 pick. The deal should look something like this: - If Pep does not play at all, no compensation - If Pep plays less than 8 games, a 2nd round pick - If Pep plays a full season, 1st round pick - If Pep throws for more than 3,000 yards, a 1st and 3rd rounder - If Pep goes to the pro-bowl, a 1st and 2nd rounder Sounds like a fair deal to me, although it would be nice to get something this year.

Cardinals are my 2nd favorite team. Finally him and Denny Green can be reunited.
