So far, not so good. Two TOs and some disgusting defense. Smush just got TORCHCED on back to back plays by Devin Harris. His defense is just pathetic, and I wouldn't be surprised to see Harris have a big game tonight. 8-0 right now, and Kobe hasn't even put up a shot.
Lakers look FLAT out there. The signing of Radman, maybe wasn't such a great idea. It's crazy how different this team operates without LO on the floor, I'm seeing flashbacks from last year..
This defense has been disgusting so far. Dirk is having his way right now. Smush is completely lost as always. Josh Howard is hitting pretty much everything. The Lakers look terrible on defense, thankfully the offense is finally starting to wake up. We just need to get some stops so the offense can get us back into this one.
Evans is way to small to guard Dork, I say we put in Sasha and just have him get under his skin (Nash, Bibby)
Wow, this is not the way we needed to start. Dirk and Howard are just killing us right now. We can't stop either of them. In general, our defense has just been putrid. The Mavs are shooting 15/21 from the floor right now and they're just killing us on the boards as well. If we don't come out more aggressive on defense here in the 2nd and we allow Dirk and Howard to continue to torch us, this game could be over by halftime. Kobe needs to get it going on offense and we need to play some defense.
Lakers have come out this quarter and looked a lot better. Farmar has played great so far and already has 10 points. The defense is looking better too. We've gotten on the boards better so far and we're creating some TOs. We've really taken advantage of the 2nd unit being in the game and have trimmed it down to 7 points. Lets hope we can keep this going when Howard and Dirk come back in.
Lakers starting to get it going again. Lead is down to 6 and Radman has looked pretty good this quarter. He's getting to the hoop and making Dirk work on the defensive side of the ball. This is easily the best he's looked this season to me. If Kobe can finally get it going, this game could be winnable for us, even after the terrible start.
Yeah everything is starting to come together again. Only person not looking great out there at the moment is Kobe, only 3 pts! Hopefully the Lakers come out during the second half and completely shut down Dork like they did last night against Yao.
Well, at least the half ended on a positive note. That was about the only thing Smush did well this half. He got burned on a consistent basis and just played bad defense in general. Beyond that, his trey with about 20 seconds on the shot clock near the end of the half wasn't necessary either. I really hope Farmar plays most of the minutes again in the 2nd half. He played better and smarter on offense and his defense was better as well. As for the rest of the guys, I like how we battled back. While the lead is only down to 9, by the way we were playing early, it should be a lot more. However, Farmar and Radman were able to lead us in the 2nd quarter and we kept the game close even without Kobe scoring. If the supporting cast, Radman specifically, can keep it going in the 2nd half and if Kobe gets it going, we could keep this competitive and maybe steal it in the 4th. However, we HAVE to do a better job on Dirk. He didn't miss a single shot in the first half and just torched us. He was having his way all half, as was Howard and Terry as well. We need to stop or slow down at least one of those guys and make people like Harris or Damp shoot more. In general, we just need to step up the defensive intensity another notch and the supporting cast needs to keep it going. And hopefully Kobe can get it going, that'd be nice.
Ugh. Rough start so far. We're not knocking down any shots. Our defense hasn't been very good yet. The lead has grown to 12. We need to figure something out quickly. Oh, and Luke needs to stop shooting. His shot isn't there, yet he continues to shoot. When it's off, it's off. He needs to be more of a facilitator for us right now and not focus on getting his shot.
And the Lakers finally looking good again. Kobe has got it going this quarter and Smush is finally doing some nice things, notably knocking in the trey to cut it to 5. Lets keep this momentum going.
Dunkess by Kobe! I expect 4th quarter to be Kobe time and I like our 'energy' line up out there right now.
Kobe fell awkwardly on a foul, supposedly hit his funny bone and lost feeling in his right arm for a moment. He looked okay, but was still clutching that arm, could be faking it.
Lakers looked A LOT better in 3rd. They had great energy and were able to fight back when Dallas pushed it back to double figures. Kobe lit it up in the 3rd, but had two very scary moments for a Laker fan. Thank god neither of his falls caused any injury. Lakers defense looked a lot better, the offense flowed better. In general, it was easily the best quarter we played, easily. Hopefully we can keep it up and get the win in the fourth. I fully expect Kobe to come out and have a huge quarter and keep us in this game and hopefully get us the win.

I wasn't really paying attention to the game (studying for a test), but after seeing Kobe fall to the floor, and seeing the pain on his face, I was like wtf, not again. So I just turned the TV off. Anyways, let's go Lakers. If we win tonight, I will go CRAZY!!!!!
Kwame is frustrating the life out of me right now. He's not playing well on defense and he can't make his FTs. And right now, Howard and Terry are killing us and the lead is back up to 10. Right now, we have GOT to step it up on defense. They're locking in on Kobe so someone else has got to step up and get something done on offense for us.
