Finally; the new CBA! I take back alot of what I said about Jerry Jones. It seems he was crucial in getting this thing resolved finally.

Watch out for my Seahawks now they can get anybody they want. That and they have an owner that shell out signing bonuses. Not to mention Seattle is becoming an attractive place for Free agents the Hawks show money and respect when a player performs

Buffalo and Cincy were the only teams to vote against it. Both smaller markets as well.
finally finally finally i'm very happy it makes sense that the two smaller market teams didnt accept that is what everyone thought was gonna happen because of revenue shares.
I would make a rant about this whole CBA thing but I'm so glad that they finally reached an agreement after extending free agency for 3 times already!
Even though the Vikes stood to benefit short term, I am REALLY happy this got done. 104 mil? Man, this puts the Vikings around 35 under the cap. Who do they go after first?

From what I heard it was Johnathan Kraft & the Jets owner that initiated the framework for the new deal. The hours leading up to the deadline the chances of getting a deal done seemed pretty grim. So it's very surprising to see such a landslide in the voting. They only needed 24 of the 32 teams to agree. I was listening to Kraft on the local sports radio program this morning & he made reference to the minimum a team can spend going up significantly as well. So in the end I think this new agreement will only create more parity. The only drawback will be the rise in ticket prices.
i think its pretty good deal...it still allows for the small teams to have a chance every year so we dont have a yankees...
Gene Upshaw, on NFL Total Access, said the cap won't jump 10 million. He said that he didn't know who came up with that number, but they will be working on that number in the next couple of days. He made it sound like the bump would be more in the 6 to 7 million dollar range.
yeah im glad its over too its still a hell of a jump from last years cap(85.5) to this years cap(102) which means that some free agents are going to get over paid now that all 32 teams instead of 12-15 doing bidding at a very limited level. If your team is the Browns Or Vikes id be really happy
agreeed its great finally! good riddance for 6 yrs! lol then this thing will happen all over again enough excitement.... well to much drama for what 2 or 3 weeks haha... enougth said! let the free agency BEGIN!!!!!
