In other words, a heat of the moment exchange where maybe you thought you saw a gun or whatever, and you reacted, even though you intended to kill, is not pre-meditated. Pre-meditated is like you had the whole thing planned for a couple of days and displays a more sick mind in the eyes of the law than someone who just "snapped".
I know what pre-meditated means, I just think you can't decide to shoot over 50 times in a car without some sort of planning. It's ridiculous, I can't imagine people snapping this bad. It looks like a hate crime, correct me if I'm wrong, but can't you get 1st degree for that? Or is that only in Cali?
Horrible. It seems like these days your either a good cop or a horrible pig. This happens to often in the USA.
This is disgusting, they should never have opened fire in the first place. My condolences go out to the victims family, hopefully these cops are taken off the street. deception, I have to ask you this, would you have posted this story if it involved a white man instead of a black?

I saw the guy's wife on Larry King Live a week or two ago, and from what I understood the policeman wasn't in uniform and didn't identify himself before pulling out his weapon. While a single person didn't fire 50 shots, one veteran officer emptied two full magazines, firing 31 shots and pausing to reload at least once.

OK, let's not turn this into a race war by asking about what "X" would have done if the person was white/black/brown/purple. However, I doubt the car would have been shot 50 times if there were two white men/women inside. There's a huge chance it's a race crime.
I think we can all agree that generalizations were made by these policemen. Whether it be by race, neighbourhood, dress, setting, etc.
