<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">While the rest of the Jazz players were in the weight room before practice Thursday, Gordan Giricek was out on the court alone, taking one shot after another. Practice is about the only time Giricek is getting on the court these days, and his frustrations are getting as long as his minutes on the bench. Giricek, who was slowed in November by tendinitis, hasn't played in the last three games and doesn't understand why. The aching in his Achilles' tendon has subsided and he said he is ready to play. "I know I can help the team," said Giricek, who is averaging 5.8 points and 14.9 minutes, his lowest averages in his four years with the Jazz. "I see no reason why I'm not playing. I read we need help at guard position and I could help, but I'm not playing. I could be a jerk and sit on the bench and make money, but I'm not that kind of guy. I want to play." </div> <div align="center">Source</div>
Giricek finally got some minutes against Sacramento, and played rather well. 12 points on 4/5 shooting from the court and 3/4 from the line in 18 minutes. As long as Giricek plays hard, Sloan should end up giving him minutes.
