So all he needs is a big boost to propel him to 5th... Think of it... if he makes it to the all star team his confidence would increase as for marion, if he doesnt make it then his morale would go a wee bit down lol anyway vote KOBE and ODOM
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Im a Lakers fan but Odom doesnt deserve it.</div> This is the first year that Odom has actually been consisitent with his points, assists and rebounds. The guy is avg. really good numbers and if you look around the league there is no other player doing the same. He is also the teams leading rebounder playing as the facilitator. bruin007, why doesnt he deserve it?
I'm surprised he's beating out guys like Marion and Boozer. If anyone deserves to be named the starting PF it's Boozer. He's having a monster year for the Jazz. I'd probably rank Odom 3rd in the West behind Boozer and KG for power forward honors. I put him ahead of Duncan statistically, but Duncan is the better player.

I always vote for all my Lakers on the all-star ballots, but there are more PF's more deserving that Odom right now. I agree Boozer should be up there along side Duncan and KG.
Yea, KG, TD, Dirk, Boozer, Brand, Marion (putting up his 20 on 52.5% FG%, 10, 2 spg, 2 bpg), Melo (averaging how many ppg?), Odom (playing solid for the Lakers), and even Zach Randolph (is averaging 25 and 10), as well Battier seems to be in the running. lots of very good forwards in the West, that is for sure.

<div class="quote_poster">durvasa Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">I don't see how Odom is statistically better than Duncan. And where would you rank Nowitzki?</div> Actually I retract the comment about Odom being statistically better than Duncan. For some reason I thought Duncan was only averaging 16PPG and didn't realize he was averaging close to 4APG. I completely forgot about Dirk and also Elton Brand.
A load of very good forwards in the West! I dont think Odom would ever be an all star unless he averaged a triple double!
If he was still in the east he would be a shoe In but in the west there are too many better forwards for Lamar to make It. A guy like Zach Randolph who is averaging 25 and 10 likely won't get a look In.
<div class="quote_poster">AllNet Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">So you want others to vote for an un-deserving player?</div> thats why i posted this in the laker forum... because majority of laker fans would be willing to help lol
<div class="quote_poster">kobe23 Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">the only fluke in my opinion is shane battier... come on man, he doesnt deserve to be there</div> Rockets fans always seem to do a good job getting their players votes. We got Steve Francis a number of allstar starts.
^^yao acually deserves it the other night he had 8 blocks against the lakers (even tho the lakers won)
