<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">OAKLAND - With his time on the bench nearing an end, Warriors guard Jason Richardson made the most of it. Richardson said Thursday that he wants to make his return Monday night, when the Warriors face the host New Jersey Nets. Assuming that comes to pass, he will have missed seven games with soreness in his left knee. "Hopefully, I'll be able to play by Monday, and get out there with the team," said Richardson, who was cleared fully by the Warriors' medical staff after getting an MRI scan Tuesday. "I'll just keep on practicing, working and getting my strength work done." In the meantime, Richardson kept busy fulfilling his role as the Warriors' co-captain in charge of rookie hazing. He coordinated the dumping of 20 or more industrial-sized bags of popcorn into the interior of rookie center Patrick O'Bryant's prized 2007 Inifinti FX45 SUV at Thursday's shoot-around before Golden State's game against the Houston Rockets. For his part, O'Bryant said it cost him $100 to get the car detailed, although the cleaning crew couldn't remove all of the evidence. "I found a couple extra little pieces in some cracks," O'Bryant said. "It still smells buttery. The detail shop sprayed vanilla, so now I have vanilla popcorn." Richardson, who also pulled pranks on Monta Ellis and Ike Diogu last season, said he learned from watching what happened to Gilbert Arenas when they were both rookies in 2001-02. "I was a good rookie," Richardson said. "I listened. I carried bags, I got donuts. I was never a case where they had to go overboard like this on me. I saw what they did to Gilbert, and picked up a couple of tricks."</div> Source
It sounds like different rookies get hazed in different ways, based on their behavior and "obedience" as a rookie. Apparently POB hasn't been carrying the vertans' bags. This'll teach him!!
LOFL. I like popcorn, but not that much. Maybe if POB knew of where some hungry dogs were, they could've helped out.

<div class="quote_poster">custodianrules2 Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">Maybe POB was upset because "Chefs" don't like to waste food.</div> lol well, I dunno, and mean look at POB -- haven't you ever heard the saying "never trust a skinny cook?"

Can't mess with that. I'm just glad he's not fat like Sweetney. Sweetney kind of had an ugly game, but he was very productive when he didn't have to worry about the speed of the average nba player. The same could be said (to some extent) about Rafael Araujo. Now Araujo was a projected bust to me whereas Sweetney had a chance to be an important contributor. The difference is Sweetney's weight gain made him such a stiff like Araujo whereas Araujo couldn't help his weight gain because he needed the muscle. Sweetney was pretty strong to begin with, but he's got this weight problem like Jahidi White or Oliver "pig" Miller. I feel bad for POB because he is the only rookie this year. At least with Jrich he had Arenas and Murphy help him carry the entire teams bags.

I like Pietrus. He's a great guy who succeeded well despite a rough life growing up. He's funny, weird, passionate. I hope for his sake he can develop offensively. He's like a good, energetic defensive player, but maybe he thinks he will be Kobe Bryant. I sort of gave up on the guy even though at one point he could singlehandedly bring us back from a point deficit because he worked harder than the other team with the physical skills he was blessed with.

Who went from a talented fat guy to a cut athelete, played for the lakes among otheres. That isnt to say that Oliver Miller wasnt a pig with great hands, good vision and a soft touch. Do you remember two LSU guys that were similar... Stanley Roberts... ok maybe exactly ...but john "hot plate" williams certainly was. But yeah they all had weight problems, cough, sean kemp.

Yeah, I think I remember those guys like Hot Plate and Stanely Roberts. Pretty good talent or decent talent for big men, but the conditioning made them a step too slow and hard to keep up in an 82 game season. That's unfortunate because I thought those kind of players brought some good things. I don't know how those guys did it but they proved they could game enough to get a look in the nba. Not to bring anything more on Murphy but if he had some of Sweetney's footwork and strength and willingness to play a little more D, he'd be in Nelly's rotation, I'd think. But the problem is I don't even think Nelly likes that much post up play because it slows the game down. We might have to play slow anyway if the team doesn't play the defense and can't get the high % shot, though.
