He's saying that young kids trying to emulate that style of play is an unfortunate side effect. Sometimes it's necessary to take over games, but young kids might think it's always ok to try to play that way. He's absolutely correct

If Carter was trying to break some records, he only needed 4 more 3s to beat the highest number of 3 point FGs made in nba history. Currently Kobe and Donyell Marshall hold the record at 12 3pt FGs made. I wonder if we would be hearing different things if Carter made 13 3 pters instead of 9.
