I dont know about the rest of you guys... but im already sick and tired of seeing arroyo playing so many minutes...

even when jameer was healthy and playing, it seemed like arroyo was getting the same amount of minutes as jameer... this cannot happen.

arroyo has done NOTHING for the team and is a cancer. anytime he is on the floor he is either taking a stupid shot quickly, turning the ball over, or he is dribbling around the court... then taking a stupid shot. i cant stand watching him on the court anymore and he is simply bringing this team down quickly. i still dont know why coach hill gives him so many minutes and everyone else on the court feels the same way i do. i see how everyone on the court just watches arroyo dribble around then shoot, they never expect a pass.

Here are some stats i put together from the month of december...

Keep in mind the Assists to TO ratio & Minutes played

    Nelson
    11 TO
    28 A
    2.55 A to TO Ratio
    25 FG // 3.6 per game
    66 FG att // 9.4 per game
    38%
    27.7 Min

    Diener
    0 TO
    7 A
OBVIOUSLY A to TO Ratio is good
    9 FG // 3.0 per game
    23 FG att // 7.7 per game
    39%
    21.3 Min

    arroyo
    15 TO
    26 A
    1.73 A to TO Ratio
    35 FG // 3.9 per game
    92 FG Att // 10.2 per game
    38%
    21.8 Min

I purposely didn't include Dooling, as i have never been a big fan of his either. but he is not getting the kind of minutes that arroyo has the whole season, and i understand why. the minutes should be distributed as follows...

    1. Nelson (when healthy)(should also have a LOT more minutes than the other PGs)

    2. Diener (has showed when given the opportunity, takes full advantage and performs awesome at the PG position)

    3. Dooling (not the best PG, but hey... as the 3rd choice he doesnt have to be)

    4. Arroyo (CUT HIM!!!!!)

PLEASE... SOMEONE out there.... explain to me WHY arroyo gets so many minutes...

There's not really much that you can do. Arroyo has to be the most inconsistent player that we have. He is absolutely brilliant some nights and then he is a turnover machine in the mold of Steve Francis(dribble the clock down then take a shot). I wouldn't really cut him or anything. Some nights he deserves more minutes then Jameer, because he plays good and Jameer is playing like crap. Most nights though Jameer should get more playing time. I really wouldn't mind seeing Diener start tomorrow night, the offense seems to flow much better with him in the game. Bring Arroyo off the bench, he seems waaaaaaaaaay more comfortable coming off the bench.

When has Arroyo been a Cancer, I'm a Jameer fan through and through, but I haven't heard of any intense attitude problems with Carlos, he's just inconsistant, but then again so are 95 % of the players in the NBA. Even Kobe, scoring 82 one night an 25 the next, although consisantly good, is obviously not consistant.

    What? [IMG]

Scoring 81 one night and then 25 the next is not incosistency. [IMG]

MJ can be considered incosistent as well if your using that logic, so is all NBA players.

^^^ KG I would guess is one of the more consistent players, he doesn't go off for crazy numbers too much, but he doesn't have terrible nights very often.

I've always wondered about Arroyo. The guy seems to always play so well in the Olympics, but I guess his game just doesn't translate well into the NBA

Dude the definition of consistancy is putting up similar numbers over and over again. Kobe is not consistant, nor was MJ.

That depends, If consistant is being your teams leading scorer every night, scoring 25+ every night. consistantly drawing double teams every night if that isn't consistant I don't know what is.

Notice with Arroyo getting less minutes lately the team has been playing better (granted hill is back as well), but even when arroyo is on the court... that is when other teams seem to attack and build their leads...

arroyo is awful and i see that there are enough people that agree with me. i dont care if jameer gets more minutes anyhow... i'm trying to say that we do NOT need arroyo... he is a player that needs to leave... just go home... find yourself a d-league team to join. he'll be happier there anyway, at least he can be the superstar that he thinks he already is.

a few people in this thread still dont seem to understand what i'm saying yet... he is a PG... a HORRIBLE PG....

he has brilliant shooting nights (once in a blue moon)

when's the last time he had more than 5 assists in a game? (1 time a month ago)

How many games has he had over 20 min? (a lot)

<font size=""5"">There are the problems... PLAIN AND SIMPLE!!</font>

Did you want Kobe to avg. 81ppg?? LOL That's ridiculous. Arroyo is inconsistent, but Nelson has been sucking recently so who cares?
