Suprized no one has posted this yet... -No RJ for the Nets tonight and no Bosh for us. -We're going to be in tough unless someone finds a way to step up. Prediction: Nets win 98 - 89 1st q. What the hell is wrong with Sam Mitchell? We're playing a team with zero inside presence and he responds by putting Rasho up top as a passer to facilitate the offense?? That and every play is a freaking jump shot, why aren't we taking it to the basket? Worst game plan ever!!
Just after half ... -Is it just me or does everyone know in advance that the raptors will give up this 10 point lead ? -I'm not going to come out and bash the CV – TJ trade outright but right now i am pretty pessimistic. We take a guy who still has 2 years left on his rookie deal (cheap) for TJ who is costing us more money long-term. We are getting such a little contribution from Ford right now it's unbelievable, he just plays at the level of everyone else on the court. For what were expecting of him, he's falling way short of expectations. I'd love to have CV's 14 and 7 right now. For me right now the only thing TJ Ford shows is that he is fast.... that's it. Seems to have normal court vision, passing ability seems to be worse than every euro on our roster, terrible shot, gets abused on defense, can't consistently make a lay-up. If this trade is going to work out to our advantage it has a long way to go. -Other notes ... Uros Slokar is captain charisma! Anyone see the pre-game interview? Guy speaks English well and is actually pretty funny.
Bargnani is 1-6 FG from the boxscore I'm reading. Rasho is 6-7 FG 12 pts, 4 rbs, 2 blocks. Vince is 4-16, but he is resting right now and if he torches us in the 4th Q like he did last time, he'll probably end up 10-22.
the raps just went on a 7-0 run to answer what the nets tried to erase. i'm so used to this being done to the raptors, nevermind them doing it to another team. joey graham demanded the ball and scored on a nice pullup over kristic
What is the score right now? the boxscore says 66-65 for the Raps with 9:13 left in the 4th. I'm worried this game is slipping away. Carter still hasn't taken any more shots Kidd is 3-9 Mikki Moore is 4-4, Adams is 5-8 Garbajosa is 4-8, 1-2 3FG. Ford is 3-10, 7 boards, 7 assists Parker 5-9, 15 pts, 4 boards, 3 assists
84-72 raps. Tj is having a good game and graham has been great but i love the way rasho is playing. He is changing shots and having a calming effect down the stretch. Carter is missin 4 free throws down the stretch
Once again, Rasho was the most important player for the Raps. Dude's so underrated right now. Was anyone else really annoyed by the constant Vince bashing? Jack Armstrong was going too far.

The game should be more about cheering for your team than booing the guy who is out of town.
If we win, we move to 2nd place in the Atlantic, and if we beat the Nets by at least 11 then at the moment we win a tie breaker with them. But there are 2 more games against NJ so the tie-breaker could still go either way.
The Raptors are playing great basketball right now. They are beating teams that nobody expected them too (Orlando earlier this week and now Toronto tonight) and the most impressive thing is they are doing it without their star, Chris Bosh. T.J. Ford has done a great job leading this team in Bosh's absence and the Raps are using a balenced attack which has been working wonderfully lately. Tonight 6 of the Raptors 9 players to enter the game scored in double digits which shows how effectively they are spreading the ball. Vince Carter was really contained tonight which suprises me. He only had 12 points and 2 assists in about 30 minutes of action. I didn't see the game so what happend? Was Anthony Parker locking him down?

I was referring more to the commentary. Its been two seasons since Carter got traded, but they kept panning to him and Jack Armstrong kept making snide remarks about him. I honestly thought we were past that by now.
Yay Raptors won by 12, the score was 90-78. Currently we are winning the tie-breaker if the Nets and Raps have a tie in standings. Rasho is finally putting up decent FG% numbers, as in earlier games of the season he was shooting 3-12 some games. (which I still expect him to put up some games). As well we had 6 players in double digits in scoring. Ford 17 Parker 15 Graham 15 Garbajosa 10 Rasho 12 Mo Pete 11
Nice win. After the first two games without Bosh I thought this team wouldn't be able to win against anyone. Luck is on our side with all the injuries to opposing teams as well. A good sign is that Rasho, MoPete and Parker are beginning to play more consistent as they're stringing together some decent games. TJ with almost a triple double and had some big buckets in the 4th. Seems like he is the best clutch player we have right now. Kind of getting concerned with Calderon. Seems like he's lost all his confidence.
Sometimes we seem better with Bosh, sometimes we seem better without him. If Bosh learns to pass out of double teams better then no doubt we'll be better, but there have been times where he forces up bad shots when double teamed. I saw a highlight of Joey Graham's slam before a buzzer beater (either end of 1st Q or 2nd Q) it was pretty good. As well as Bargnani's reverse jam. As well as Calderon falling down after an inbound at our basket and keeping the dribble up.
this game was terrible to watch; kidd played like a kid (e.g. turnovers) and carter played half-arsed, while the raps just aren't that good. although, i will concur with the rest of the posters and say that rasho totally anchored the defense. to that end, both tj and mo. pete spoke at length about rasho in their post game comments. the more and more i think about it- rasho may be the smartest player in terms of bball i.q. to ever rock a raptor uniform. here's why i say that- his game is about being in the rights spots, particularly on the defensive end, something the rest of the raps have no clue about. also, i thought the ball movement has been much more crisp without bosh in the lineup. i hope bosh understands he can't disrupt the offense just cause he wants a touch from now on. btw, the first quarter defense by the raptors was san antonio like, they clogged the lanes and anticipated everything.
