<div class="quote_poster">Karma Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">LOL that reminds of Bill Simmons' story about Iverson glaring down the ref and forcing him to swallow his whistle. I don't care how much people bash Kobe's "superstar call" status, he isn't half as loved as Wade by the refs.</div> You're sick. They are on the same level. It looks like the league has decided that Wade is the face of the league in the playoffs last season against Dallas (which is why alot of fair weather fans started to leave) so he is starting to get the benefits of that. Kobe isn't exactly the past but is not the future if you know what I mean. They were talking about some of the calls that these guys got that Jordan didn't get.
<div class="quote_poster">THE DREAM Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">lol.....go watch game 6 of the 02 WCF and tell me that Kobe isn't loved by the officials....there's no ranking system when it comes to some superstars on who the officials love more..</div> Game 6 of the 02 Finals. That was 4 years ago, a huge difference. Back then, Kobe was the poster boy of the NBA. Kobe does not get the same type of treatment as guys like Lebron or Wade. I'll see if I can get some youtube videos to prove myself. And yes, there was a point last season where Kobe got absolutely 0 calls for a span of 10 games. Also, in a televised game against the Cleveland Caveliers, the Lakers were up big in the fourth quarter, but the ref's refusal to call any foul on Kobe cost us the game. Don't believe me? Ask anybody who followed the Lakers last season, and they will tell you about the dry spell.
And there is some kobe haters who still haven't rewatch the tape. Kobe got 14 Ts last season, and almost caused him a 2 game suspension if he reaches 16. That is probably the 2nd highest in the nba right there. It just shows that even Kobe, a superstar, can get that many Ts. Also game 2 or 3 Lakers vs Suns, Kobe drove to the lane, got fouled in the head by Tim Thomas but no call, how do you explain that? I don't know why you cry about Kobe this year but you need to rewatch the tape. Secondly, the refs know Kobe is a competitive person, and a competitive person will not agree with every calls. Kobe is just being Kobe, he never likes any calls. His competitive juices flowing is so overwhelming that he thinks every calls are bad. Moreover you never hear Kobe whining or criticizing the ref after the game. What he did is always during the course of the game, something you gotta admire.

Not as much as guys like Lebron or Dwyane Wade. I'll see if I can find that Cleveland game on Youtube to prove my point. I'm pretty sure someone posted the video on JBB before
Here's the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T6SpBM8dB4k&search=kobe That would never happen to guys like Lebron or Wade
what does one game prove?......Kobe gets his calls just like everyone else, it's not like the guy has been "robbed" over his career...I've seen times where Bron,Wade,Dirk are fouled and it's not called....as a matter a fact when I was watching the Cavs/Hornets game the other night, Lebron was fouled at the end , but it wasn't called..they all still get the benefit for most of the calls....same goes for Kobe.

There were many games last season where Kobe couldn't even get a single call. And like I said, it was a stretch of 10 or so games. Although Kobe has been getting calls, he doesn't get away with things that guys like Lebron or Wade do.

And I'm sure who ever created that video judiciously avoided including bad calls for the Cavs. You can parse plays like that and make the refs appear very biased with almost any game. Particularly for the road team. That's not an anti-Kobe bias. It's a pro-Cavs/home team bias.
suuuuuuuuure....I'll have to agree to disagree on this one, I've watched all 3 thoroughly throughout their career and I'd say they all get away with things (traveling, stepping out of bounds on the baseline, pushing off for jump shots, flying into other players and throwing their arms up, etc.)
You guys are putting LeBron in the same category as Wade and Kobe. I'd say Wade tops all of them.. then Kobe, then maybe someone else. I dont think LeBron gets the love or argues with officials NEARLY as much as Wade and Kobe do Wade and Kobe are just on ANOTHER level.
<div class="quote_poster">Brian Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">Kobe > Lebron and Wade put together (let's see what this starts)</div> You're funny Brian. You're funny! Its hard for me to say LeBron is better than Kobe or Wade is better than Kobe. I think they're all on about the same level. But saying sh*t like Kobe > LBJ + Wade, you've gotta be out of your mind. I think you're just excited because Kobe got 53 points last night.

What the hell NBA are you watching? Lebron gets as many or more calls than Kobe, Wade or anybody. I can't even count the number of and-1's he gets off of stupid ticky-tack fouls. He also gets away with travels every second play (Washington series). But then again maybe you don't understand NBA rules, just like you and your brother clearly don't understand the concept of sarcasm.
