YOUR season is over!!!! new york had nothing to lose, they had their second unit on the floor plus they suck in general so no worries for gotham city. denver on the other hand- had their first unit on the floor, plus, had a few players that were on the bench get on the court like nene.

so here's how i see it: melo out for 15-20 games (for the sucker punch); jr smith 20-30 games for tackling nate into the crowd; and camby a couple games at least. plus, this might put the iverson deal in jeopardy, i'm sure iverson would veto a trade cause denver would take a precipitous fall in the west without melo in the lineup.

Okay my guess, I'm going out on a limb, but based on how Stern will take this as a personal slap in the face to his attempts to clean up the league:
    JR Smith: 20-35 games
    Carmelo: 20-35 games
    Nate: 20-35 games
    Everyone else: 10 games

    Translation: Yes, Denver is screwed.

I disagree. I think that this makes Iverson no difference. I mean the only better option still is Los angeles and that still doesnt look like its gonna happen. If I'm AI Denver is still my second choice to LosAngeles at this point.

And all this was started by none other than JR Smith, if you get a really hard foul you laugh in the guys face, not try fight him, i knew smith's season was too good to be true, he is just too young and stupid to be a professional. and nate is so weird with all his gangsta poses and stuff, he isnt a gangsta he has no idea what he is doing and will look back at this and realize how stupid and silly he looks.

    JR Smith: (tackling Nate) 10-15
Jared Jeffries (trying to swing at Melo and falling while doing so): 10-15
Everyone else on the court: 1 game suspension

I think everyone on the court will get a 1 game suspension, not a 10 game suspension.

Less competition in the very stacked West. Anyone want to see Duncan/SA brawl with Dirk/DAL

Seriously, what did David Lee do that deserved an ejection? He shouldn't be suspended. It's going to be interesting what David Stern does, if he suspends one of the brightest young stars in his league for at least a quarter of the season.

I'd say he is a hard working player but not a star.

I think they just ejected every player who was in the game at the time of the brawl. I doubt Lee will be hearing from Stern, he wasn't really doing anything but trying to pull his guys away with some of the ast. coaches and players.

yeah most of the guys like i dunno camby or frye or lee who werent really involved - i highly doubt they're gon get long suspensions.

i couldnt agree with u any more. if u look at my post in the knicks forum i totally agree.

P.S. i thought nate tackled smith, not the other way around? :S

and even worse he's a coward. situations like that reveal true character- nate demonstrated he has issues; collins demonstrated that he's coach able; jr smith proved that byron scott was right- he's immature; jared jefferies looks like a hero; najera, camby, frye, lee are sane and melo looked like a fake tough guy. as i said in the initial thread, if i was a knick- i would have murdered melo with anything i could get my hands on after the sucker punch.

Ur exactly right...When everything was cooling down, Melo goes in and sucker punches Collins and starts running away...C'mon, if you're gonna fight, make it count, don't run away
it was pretty hilarious when Jeffries fell down trying to reach Melo though, and Nate, Nate was just hilarious
