I didn't even know there was a game this morning. Apparently GS just lost to the Raptors 115-120. The box score shows the team played great Offense; above 50%FG, Monta had 28pts, Baron 20pts/11ass, and Ike got back on the floor for 4 minutes!! But apparently we played no D.
What I concluded from this game: Ellis is a stud. Roberson's a chucker. Pietrus looks much better this season than he did last season. Dunleavy looks nice coming off the bench. Biendrins is a little rough around the basket but he gets the job done and is really effective with his left hand. I have no clue why Roberson was in the game late though. He played some crucial minutes for Nelson and the Warriors in the fourth in favour of Pietrus and just jacking it up.
Well Roberson is actually considered the best pure-shooter on the team, and he has shot pretty well this year; he must have gone cold tonight... I mean this morning.
Hmm...weird. I don't remember seeing the Warriors ever play at 11AM... It seems like they got beat on the boards again. 50 to 38. So what's up with Murphy?

Baron and Monta combined for more than half the turnovers..Baron had 5 and Monta with 7! gotta take care of that rock. I hope when JRich returns our team will make a 180. Or atleast deal someone like murphy
No surprise. I make a bigger deal of things when we win, but I'm still in disbelief whenever that happens.
I was listening on the radio and Tim Roye and Barnett said the Raptors were giving the Warriors plenty of times to tie or win the game in the fourth but the Warriors blew it by missing like 4 lay ups and what not.
i watched the game .... as we always seem to do....we played lazy, uninspired basketball on early games. Apparently there was some malfunction and the team didnt get in til 8 the night before... no excuse really. the team was just turnover prone all game. No one pounding the glass We went away from beidrins after the first quarter and never went back to him we were down by double digits most of the game In the 4th we kept it close.... primarily with a few threes but it was bombs away, monty ball.... just plain ugly... nice to see diogu on the court again. this was a raptors team without Bosh...amazing. I just dont get why the nba would schedule us friday in phoenix then sunday morning in toronto.... why not a night game or at least late afternoon.... a noon game?.... hopefully we can wake up for new jersey tomorrow night or this road trip is treally going to be ugly

Pietrus ran the wrong route to the basket and couldn't catch the ball, Baron leaves yet another ball swirling around the rim to fall out, Monta gets fouled but misses both freethrows (while being 7-7 up to that point), Parker steals the ball from Monta, 3-second turnover on Diogu, Pietrus blocked by Bargnani, Warriors fail to secure a rebound on a missed Toronto freethrow...man it was just so ugly and frustrating. The weird thing is the Warriors scored 115 points, shot over 50% from the field, 89% from the freethrow line (!) and still managed to lose to a crappy Boshless Toronto Raptors team, a team that was 7-12 with Chris Bosh, in the eastern division. There's lots of excuses you can make for this but the sad fact is that playoff-bound teams aren't going to lose many games like this in a year, and sadly I have the feeling it won't be the last for the Warriors. On the bright side, great to see Diogu back, I just hope he can shake the rust off before he gets benched, and before it's too late for the Warriors. Oh, and what's the deal with Murph? He wasn't even listed in the box score today. EDIT: never mind about Murphy, it turns out Yahoo! lists injuries in their box scores, while ESPN just leaves them off. Anyway, the whole Murphy "injury" smells fishy to me since I was watching him warm up from 25' away before the Sacto game and he sure didn't look injured then, and hasn't played a minute since.
I have an idea: trade Murphy, Dunleavy, Pietrus and filler for Pao Gasol + filler. Or, Murphy, Pietrus and Ike for Gasol straight up.

Gasol is not quite in the superstar category, but he's as close as the Warriors are likely to get, and if they could acquire him without completely gutting the team of their young talent, I'm for it. I just wish he was a better FT shooter.
<div class="quote_poster">AnimeFANatic Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">Monta REALLY needs to cut down those turnovers.</div> How does he not get better? 7 TOs is so bad. Its too bad because he had 27 on 10-14 shooting. 7 TOs? I think he's just got to get more confidence in his moves and becomes decisive.
Yeah, in the last 3 games hes put up 6, 6, and 7 TOs. That's really killer to have one player turn the ball over so much.
Good reminder. Cannot lose sight of the amazing and unexpected improvement of Biedrins and Ellis. 12-13 is a little of everything. Here's hoping that the Warriors can make a respectable showing on the rest of the road trip. I think they can run the Nets off the court if they can just force jumpers with their zone and rebound on the weak side.
Sigh... How do we solve problems? Toronto is horrible at rebounding (-4.9 rebounding difference, 3rd worst), and didn't even have Bosh. Yet, we got outrebounded by 12... Solid at home, tied with Clippers for the worst road team. Hope we can beat NJ...
