<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Nate Robinson is, in his humble opinion, "Nate the Great." And then there was the embarrassing moment three weeks ago when he tried to bounce the ball off the floor and dunk it against the Cleveland Cavaliers , a play that was ruled a travel and made the Knicks look like an undisciplined group of street-ballers. Robinson's explanation was as peculiar as his decision to attempt the dunk in the first place. "That's why they call me Spontaneous Nate," he said. Last year, Nate Robinson was involved in two fights with teammates. He went after Jerome James with a broom during a practice and then had to be separated from fighting Malik Rose in the shower. The shower fight prompted a veteran teammate to give Robinson another nickname. "That's just Nate," the Knick said. "He's a jerk."</div> Source
somebody like nate should be ordered by the league to seek professional help. i'm serious cause frankly he endangers the life of everyone, from spectators to fellow teammates.
He's got hops but he is a punk. He needs to start acting like a respectful NBA player. He pretty much started or atleast worsened the brawl the other night.
After he won that dunk contest, it really got to his head. He started thinking he was all that, might I add the block on Yao too.

I really was disgusted at the way Nate conducted himself in the fight. He basically acted like a gangster and showed he wasn't afraid of nobody bigger than him, and it really agitated the Nuggets. Nate even put his fists up in the air over his heads for a second, which are arrogant fighting gestures. I agree, Nate needs help. A lot of NBA players need help, really.
nate is simply insecure. anyone who wants to fight all the time has problems with themself. your in the league nate what is there to prove. if you want to fight get in the octagon. hes making all of the little guys under 6' look bad. im not 6' and i wish i could play in the nba. bottom line tho if he couldnt dunk he wouldnt be in the league.

After he blocked Yao, he got a lot of media attention, the attention he always craved it seems like. I say all this built up in his head and lead him to think he's all that, while he really isn't. <div class="quote_poster">thedude9990 Wrote</div><div class="quote_post"> when your in a league where most people are bigger than you, that may be the way you have to act to get respect. </div> Are you the only person whose respect Nate has earned after this incident?

He almost had a fight last year with Jacque Vaughn where he did the same thing.
a great example is boykins. hes a cocky player but he is also very respected in the league.you dont see him in a guys face every 2 seconds. any player or coach would pick boykins over nate. nate is an ass.
It'll be to his own detriment, in the end. He's a project player and if you attach attitude problems to him, I don't see very many teams outside the Knicks that would be interested in him.

Yes. But don't let it get in your head. That kind of action doesn't earn respect. The NBA is not the streets. Like you said, Boykins didn't have to. Spud Webb didn't have to. Archibald didn't have to. The list goes on. Nate is a punk. Nothing more. Anyway, he goes as soon as Isiah is fired. He can take his slamdunk trophy and shove it up his A@#!

Although what he needs to realize is that this is a professional league, the NBA, not pickup down at the Rucker, he doesnt need to prove anything except how he conducts himself on court, he needs to lose the whole "ghetto mentality" he has stuck in his head.
