Can't help but Laugh At Kobe Bryant's Comments

Basically downplaying Gilbert Arenas's performance.

How Ironic

Kobe chucks up 38-40 shots while getting his 50-60 points along with getting 81 while also going to the line over 20+ times Is ok yet when Arenas does It, It is suddenly a joke?. Complaining about how many FT's he gets. The bad shots Arenas takes.

Of all people to make these comments, Kobe has no right moaning about Arenas taking so many free-throws and the shots he threw up considering Kobe has a history of this.

I respect him as a player but these comments were really stupid to make.

 

Well Arenas made the shots, so according to what he's saying, "Arenas made unbelievable shots."

As far as the getting to the line 27 times, the highest Kobe has ever been to the line is 26 times and he's had various games when he's gone on a scoring rampage, attacking the basket constantly.

I absolutely agree 100% with your post and as I saw this thread, I had JUST FINISHED posting another thread commenting on the same thing.

I'd also like to apologize on behalf of Laker fans that when Someone (you) brings up a great point, a Laker/Kobe fan has to call you a HATER. It's freakin disgusting.

This is why I'm not all up on Kobe's balls anymore, when he says cocky crap like this it bothers me. He's still my favorite player of all time and always will be, but he needs to stop with this lame crap and do all his talking on the basketball court, which he usually does.

Kobe being cocky is what makes him the best.

Making hypocritical comments makes him look dumb.

 

I think other then sending a message to Arenas, he was sendinga sublimenal message to the refs...man i was watching the game and I couldnt believe how many ticky tac fouls there was in the game. But yeah Arenas was killing the Lakers last night...its ok because Kobe will score 80 on them next game.

 

What I have always liked about Kobe Is no matter how arrogant he Is sometimes on the floor he always is a class act off the court when talking about other teams players having big games or guarding him well. He is one of the few who likes Bruce Bowen and respects his defensive game.

Thats why I made this thread, the comments he made were not Kobe like.

Heck yea! Some people love Kobe so much, they are blinded.
About the game, I didn't watch it .. but I watched the highlights and Gilbert made many shots in Kobe's eyes, they were wonderful. I also loved the bow to the crowd after the win

I remember last year when Vince was hating on Kobe for taking too many shots, and now Kobe's doing the same thing to Gil

You've got to love it; it's simply un-American not to be a hypocrit anymore.

I would think, though, that Kobe would have a little more sense. He already has to know how many people dislike him, and to say that after the way he's been critiqued over the course of his career, plus the fact that he's said some things about guys like Shaq and Raja Bell (lol) in the past, well, I guess he didn't think too much before he made those comments.

uh, read between the lines, man. it was about as blatant a diss as you can get without being a blatant diss

 

Yeah, Kobe was hating a bit. To be fair though, Kobe always has a monstrous TS% when he goes off for 50 in three quarters. Gilbert was nice but not to that degree. Also, I don't here people criticize Gilbert as much as Bryant when he drops 50+.

thats the most accurate post in this thread. kobe wasn't too pleased with gilbert scoring 60 on his home floor, thats something kobe usually brings. anyone wouldve been frusterated by having someone take your spotlight (especially kobe, who is always used to having the spotlight)

so he took a cheap shot at gilbert (verbally). although i can see why he downplayed his performance, i expected more from the new matured kobe
