<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">MEMPHIS, Tenn. ? The Seattle SuperSonics on Monday worked out former All-Star guard Anfernee ?Penny? Hardaway, trying to determine if Hardaway could help out a team with a 10-16 record on a five-game skid. Sonics coach Bob Hill said Hardaway was in much better shape than he expected, though it remains unclear if the Sonics will sign him. ?He was in town, I have a relationship with him from Orlando (when Hill was a Magic assistant), we felt it was worth our time to go and watch him,? Hill said. ?That?s where it is.? Hardaway last played for the New York Knicks last season, but his season and the one before it were derailed by knee injuries. On his Web site, Hardaway said his knees are feeling much better, to the point that he is dunking. ?He?s a veteran, he knows how to play the game,? Sonics forward Rashard Lewis said. ?I don?t know what kind of shape he is in. I don?t know if he can still play the game. Even if they do sign him, he is not going to play 40 minutes a night.?</div> Source
Maybe it would be nice have another veteran voice in the locker room. I've always liked Penny...obviously he won't be playing all that much. We'd have to cut someone, wouldn't we?
