Bring your good and bad sides out of those consoles.

I've been using the PS2 all the time, but I'll get a xBox 360 for Christmas. Is the PS3 better than xBox 360 ? [IMG]

I'm pretty sure that xBox 360 is much better than PS2. Especially the graphics will be better.

I'm gonna buy NBA 2k7 on that and problably a NFL game or something.

But is the the first xBox better than PS2 ? My friend has it and I can't see a big difference out of them.

Playstaion has a better controller stick imo.

And if you guys don't want another argue, you can just say which one of them you have and bring the good sides out of them and why you bought that one.

personally I prefer the 360...the live experience is just better. ps3 is just now introducing their version of live. xbox live is now in their 2nd generation and they've added a lot to it. there is just so much you can do with live

that aside i think the ps3 is horribly over priced. its certainly not worth $200 more then the 360

I'll stay at the xBox 360 then.

Yeah, you should just check the remote of PS3. It has so bad shape that i wouldn't buy it just because of the remote [IMG]

I would also prefer xBox, dont know why [IMG]

Right now, 360 is the better choice.

It's the same design as the PS2 controller, pretty much the best controller ever.

I'd go for the PS3. Their support from game designers are still better and they have a lot of exclusives. One wildcard would be the BluRay discs the PS3 uses. They hold four times the DVD (360 uses that) and if used properly, can be utilized to make games much more feature-laden, and even to improve graphics. In three years, I'll definitely see the PS3 winning out but for now it's a taken that the 360 is a better choice. However, the PS3 has just launched though, so it should rightly suck due to the lack of titles. The 360 was the same.

add in the x-box live fees per month/year or whatever vs the FREE ps3 online service and PS3 is a lot cheaper.

Plus better games will be coming out for it.

I've got a PS3 preordered, but I look at it like this, sure its going to cost me AU$999 compared to AU$650 for the XBox, but the PS3 has better specs (the XBox was better than the PS2), it supports BluRay and BluRay players alone cost AU$1,500, it has a free online service and I get 2 controllers and a game of my choice since I preordered it.

I think its money well spent.

I'd say go for the PS3, I just dont find the 360 very appealing for some reason, those controllers look very bulky, and I cant really see much of a difference in graphic quality between the XBox and XBox 360 (I've seen them set up next to each other at the Mall, and I thought I was watching the XBox when it was infact the XBox 360)

X-Box was better than PS2, but it did come out later.

PS3 and x-box would depend who you ask.

However on choice you decide what games you would most likely play, what games are already out and what games are coming out.

The worst thing you could do is ask someone else what is better.

As I-Miss-MJ said, the XBox was better than the PS2 (I'm an Playstation fan by the way), but I've read that the PS3 has better specs than the XBox 360 has, so essentially, its the better console this time round.

Yeah it is, except it is wireless and has motion sensors like the Nintendo Wii.

I have a 360 and it's a great console but I'm also saving to get a PS3, I'd wait to get it because the first few shipments always have defects, sort alike then 360 came out. I got mine later on and it's been perfect. The PS3 should be a better overal console and the games are always better for playstation, hopefully have both by March of 07.

I likely won't buy either one since both of them will have the majority of their titles for the PC and since I can afford the upgrades I go with PC. Pending on new consoles, you should really go with the Nintendo Wii.
