Xbox was better than PS2 in terms of graphics, being able to save games w/o memory card, load songs on to Xbox, having 4 controller ports to start out with, shape of the controller.

Guys, be serious here, Xbox controllers are better suited for our hands. PS2/PS3 controllers are the size that a 10 year old would like. I personally prefer Xbox controllers by a mile. They're comfortable, but then again... if you're used to holding smaller things ... your preference. [IMG] Jk...

I like Xbox controllers better though.

But, I am sure that PS3 will be a step ahead of Xbox 360 in terms of technology that we will use more frequently in the future. If money isn't a problem, get the PS3 ... it has all the BlueRay and stuff. If you'd rather save $200, get Xbox360.

It really depends on what kind of games you like the best, which console carries your favorite games, which controller suits your hands, and well.... if you're going to be using the BlueRay or not. Match your needs.

Right now, the 360 owns the PS3, IMO. That will most likely change down the road when very special games like Metal Gear Solid 4 come out for the PS3.
Live is a real bargain at $50 a year, for the services it provides. Sony has nothing like Live, although they are trying, but I don't think they ever will touch Microsoft on that aspect.
Also, I would not recommend either a PS3 or 360 until or unless you already have a HD TV of some sort,or a monitor(VGA for 360), because standard tv with 360 looks real grainy, I had the opportunity to play with a SD tv recently and saw how much better it is on HD. For example a popular 360 game, Dead Rising has subtitles that are UNREADABLE no matter what on a SDTV, but crisp clear on a HD.

Bargain? You don't have to pay for PS2 online with an ethernet cable, and c'mon, even the PS2 is beating the 360 in sales this year.

They're both about the same IMO. The graphics are essentially the same. The difference make is the games and which company you like best.
