SEEMS like Philly got ripped off. You never know til you find out who Sixers pick up in those first round picks. But for now, its a ripoff.

Let's not jump ahead of ourselves here. Denver needs a lot of work.

Its a disaster for Denver. AI and Melo aren't gonna gel together. We all know how bad Iverson and Glenn Robinson played in Philly.

This should really change the Northwest Division, depending on how well Iverson can fit in with Denver.

Wow, now what? If Iverson plays in the All-Star game, will Kobe get bumped out or what? West is going to kill East now! IMO, this was a bad deal for Sixers. They got ripped! I feel that Sixers could've have gotten much better in return if he went to Minny/Celtics. Well anyways, the worst part of this whole thing is that Iverson will have to wait about 15 games to play with Melo. But guess what? I am going to try hard to get tickets to Rockets and Denver game because that will be Melo's first game coming back. Man now we have another playoff contender in the West. They might or might not play good with Iverson, but w/ Melo back, they are going to be killer! I feel that Melo and Iverson will make a good combo, and now none of them have a chance at the scoring title. But the main question is: Will Melo get enough touches? Will Iverson pass enough? I think the answers are Yes. What about yall?

This is an awesome trade for Philly. Iverson only has a couple of good years left in him. They now got a pure point guard in Andre Miller who'll pass the rock to Iguodala and Korver and help them improve their game. If they draft well, they're going to get 3 young studs in next year's draft. Once Joe Smith and Webber go off the books, all they need is to sign a good FA and they'll be back in contention for years to come.

Don't get too excited, because right now the two picks appear to be the Nugget's own and Dallas' pick, two teams that figure to have two of the best records in the league when it's all said and done, especially now that the Nugz have Iverson. What this trade's going to look like after the draft is just Andre Miller, Joe Smith, Richard Roby, and Morris Almond - still a rip-off. It could be a tank job for Oden, Durant, Young, Wright though. This is one of the most star-studded drafts I've seen in a while, a great relief after three horrible ones.

Like It or not, the west just added another contender for the title.

    2006 draft was trash.
2005 was decent - Chris Paul, Deron Williams, David Lee, Raymond Felton, your boy Channing Frye,
2004 was okay Dwight Howard, Emeka Okafor, Andre Iguodala

2007 is looking really nice though. Wish the Knicks didn't agree to that swap with the Bulls.

<div class="quote_poster">MrJ Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">It might be a little rough, at least in the beginning. Miller had chemistry with Denver and playing with Iverson is always an adjustment, especially starting out with one ball-demanding player and playing with another one 15 games later. It could be a very deadly combination.

I like the fact Philly got draft picks, but they should have DEMANDED J.R. Smith. I would have made it J.R. or no deal. Denver would have come around eventually. It's not like this is the deadline - Philly had ample time to find the best suitor for their team. It seems like they just rushed to trade him.</div>

    Agreed totally.

    Stop with this comparison please

Melo is nothing like big dog. Melo is a far better scorer, Melo is great at attacking the rim and is a good rebounder for his position and a better passer. He is also quite quick. Robinson never really was.

LOL! I think you were trying to be serious, but it just made me laugh. Even at only 22, I would consider Melo to be a better player then Robinson ever was.

Man. I was so serious. But I'm glad you had a laugh out of it! For some reason I'm just not a big fan of Glenn Robinson or Melo. I still think Melo would end up being like Big dog in his career.

I'm still waiting for you to back-up how you think 'Melo is the next Glenn Robinson.

He's already gotten past those labels of being a one-dimensional player.

If Denver can trade JR Smith for a solid point guard who can play defense, they'll be much, much better off.
