It's obvious that they aren't trying to surround KG with a winning squad. Should he demand a trade?

He's 30 years old, and not getting any younger. Sure he's loyal, but the guy deserves better. Much better.

Hell yeah ! It would bring even more exictment (any mistakes in that word?) to the NBA. I don't like AI so his trade didn't make many weird feelings for me. But I do like Garnett and he plays just like AI, much talent, much passion and plays great basketball. He isn't as good as earlier, but he still is a true leader.

But I don't want him to LA anymore. Lamar is injured, but he is younger and he puts up pretty great numbers when he's healthy. That's only my opinion, though.

I'd like to see him in a Boston uniform. Pierce & KG would be pretty sweet, huh !?

ugh, not another player demanding a trade. It's really getting annoying, however KG is KG. Well, AI is claiming he didn't demand that trade, so...

I think KG should give Minny 1 more year, and if they are still going nowhere by the end of this season then I believe he should opt out of his contract in 2008. I don't think he will, because MONEY, MONEY, MONEY, MONEYY...MONAYYY!

No one will give him more than 16 million imho.

EDIT: KG to Houston (my dream)
    or KG to Atlanta

or KG to Atlanta</div>Yeah, KG to Atlanta sounds pretty nice. You wanna give Yao for KG ? I wouldn't do it. Yao is much younger and he's the best center in the league right now.

But if ATL could get KG without giving up JJ, it would be pretty great. And maybe Atlanta could get to the playoffs, finally.

Oh no, don't scare me. I can't even consider trading Yao for KG. I was thinking T-Mac, and Bonzi for KG...never gonna happen.

Why it would work for Houston? Because both KG and Yao do not need to be in the post to score. They both have very effective jumpers with range, so while one drags the double inside, the other could just go out for the easy duece.

Why it works for Minny? It wouldn't.

I think that now Iverson has left the 76'ers, KG will see that he won't be "turning his back" on the Timberwolves organisation. There's a much bigger chance he'll demand a trade now.

But let's think some realistic teams where he could go and some realistic trades that can go through.
    I'm not a good trade thinker. ;D

But I'd like to see KG in a Celtic uniform. I wanted AI there, but KG & Pierce would be even better than AI & Pierce. Like you all said and I think that too, backcourt & backourt players duo isn't as good as frontcourt players duo.

But who should the Celtics give up then ?

After AI was traded to Denver it probably only fueled KG more to lean closer to demanding a trade.

Agreed. It's a shame that the Timberwolves have done nothing to put a winning team together. Ricky Davis? Come on. Garnett deserves better just like Iverson deserved better than the Sixers.

He should get out while he still has something left in the tank, he needs to realize that it wont work out in Minny and that his loyalty is misplaced in such a bad franchise. He should ask to be traded and go for a title.

Ugh, I hate this time of year. Everybody and their mother thinks KG should screw loyalty and win a championship. For the first time I may not be unbelievably distraught at the possibility of trading KG but I still hate to constantly hear about it. The fact is that if you look at the wolves, they are a fairly good team, mainly needing a legitimate front court mate to help take pressure and rebounding duties off KG (Mark Blount needs to sit his ass on the bench). KG is a standup guy, and he wants to stay with the organization that drafted him and gave him the largest salary in history. And while the management (McHale[IMG]) has made repeated crappy moves, they continue to try to put talent next to KG (which is why there are so many bad contracts because they banked on the wrong guys too many times). If they stop making that effort then he will demand to leave.

I would love to see Minnesota do what it takes to win, but its obvious that they dont wanna do that (and haven't since they Marbury left).

I say send him to Atlanta for Marvin Williams, Josh Smith, and a first round pick. The East needs some balance.

Demanding a trade isn't always the way to go. What he need's to do is just talk with the T-Wolves and tell them what he wan't to win a championship. That work's with a lot of player's.
When you demand a trade you lose respect from the fan's so don't just go out and demand a trade when your not happy.

Im pretty sure that's happened before. He probably made that clear when he signed that $900 million contract.

I'd like to see him go to the Atlant in some sorta 3 way trade with the Knicks. Just to get Nate Robinson outta that basketball hellhole.

Loyalty? KG has been loyal for too long, to a franchise that has not been loyal to him. He really is a stand-up guy, but I wouldn't think any differently of him if he politely asked to be traded. I don't think it would turn into an AI-type situation.

The wolves franchise has been incompetent, not disloyal. The reason they have so many bad contracts is because they keep trying to outbid other teams to bring in talent for KG. If he asks for a trade then every wolves fan would understand and may even look forward to rebuilding from scratch. Its this petty 'will he? wont he?' gossip that just gets way too annoying.
Oh by the way, if KG is desperate for a championship, why on earth would he want to play for Atlanta. There are very few who could challenge Minny and McHale for the worst franchise and they are certainly one of them.

Their best years were with Spree and Cassell which was well after Marbury demanded to be traded.
