I need opinions about both Penn State CB's; Zematis & Anwar Phillips. Any info on Tamba Hali would be appreciated.

One mock draft had Zematis going to Miami in the 2nd. Hali may be there at #16 and is versatile & physical enough to appeal to Saban IMO Tamba impressed me during the Orange bowl.

I asked about Buckeye safety Whitmer earlier but would appreciate more info on him as well as Youbouty, Bobby Carpenter, & Schlegel who transfered from the Air Force Academy.

Schlegel tore it up when he was in Mtn West but lost track of him. I am more of SEC fan as well as Mtn West.

Titans_Buckeyes may best be able to answer tis but will take the input of anyone in Big 10 country.

I really like Hali. I think he's one of the top tweeners in this draft. He's pretty athletic and can play a 3-4 OLB but probably would project better as a DE in the 4-3 where he could be potentially one of the better young pass rushers.

Zematis and Phillips in my opinion are probably 3rd round picks. Both guys needed to make an impact at the combine and both were very quiet. Out of the 2 I like Phillips better and maybe he sneaks into late round 2. Though this is a pretty deep class at DB.

Whitner in my opinion is the 4th best DB in this draft and should be a round 1 pick. He's very versatile and can play any DB position.

I'm not a big Youboty fan. I think some of the Ohio State past acheivements with their Corners is one of the reasons why he's valued. He does have great size though but I didn't think he was that good in coverage. Needs to work on his hips. (Hire Chubbs!!)

Titians_Buckeyes probably has better info on the Buckeye guys. I really like Carpenter and Whitner in round 1. Schelgal in round 3 and Youboty in early 2nd.

Schelegal ran some slower 40 times and some consider him more of a situational player, I however think he could easily start his rookie season, He's just to big and dominant in the middle.

Whittner may be better suted to Corner but is still an excellent Safety as well, will give you 4 possible positions in one!

Youbouty is big and pretty physical and I think he'd make a great NFL safety myself, the only thing is he's a chance taker, he goes for the big play instead of locking on and assuring an incompletion.

Bobby Is still nursing his ankle but is at 90%, He's more athletic than Hawk and is very good in coverage and blitzing, He'd look real good next to Zack Thomas [IMG]

I agree with Youboty looking better suited up as a safety. I just think he's too big and probably too slow to be a corner. Granted, safeties have to be fast, but I'm sure you know what I mean.

Carpenter is a really solid linebacker. Although, he was under Hawk's shadow, he was making plays, and not getting as much recognition as he should've. I believe he'll go in the first round, no doubt.

As for Schlegel, I haven't really paid much attention to him, so I wouldn't know much about him.

I'm sure I wasn't much of a help here and I'm sorry for that, lol. I'm watching the US get stomped by Korea, so I'm kind of side-tracked.

Thanks for the info. It sounds like Youbouty could be the big physical corner that Saban likes.

I think Carpenter could be something special.

Why am I asking for this info? I am trying to get inside Saban's head and trying to compile a draft as he might. It seems Big 10 Defenders keep coming up.
