OKLAHOMA CITY (Ticker) -- Pittsburgh did not play well against its first ranked opponent in its last contest. It will take on another tough squad on Thursday.

With both teams looking to rebound from their first losses of the season, the seventh-ranked Panthers will face 14th-ranked Oklahoma State on Wednesday in the All-College Classic.</div>

I like the intensity that Tyler Hatch brings, but there's no doubt that he's a big step down from freshman stud Obi Muonelo, who'll be sidelined for this game with a fractured fibula. That lack of depth on the wing was probably the final nail in their coffin in the Tennessee game, and I expect it to be in this one as well. Pittsburgh just has too much firepower on the perimeter with both Cook and Graves playing the best basketball of their careers.

    Prediction:

    Pittsburgh - 76
    Oklahoma State - 70

I think this is just going to be an awesome game. Pitt's a tough, nasty team, and they'll be at their maddest after consecutive pedestrian showings. On the other hand, OSU isn't happy about dropping their first decision, and Gallagher-Iba is easily one of the togher places in the country to play.

We're going to see a real treat tonight with Boggan and Gray, two bigs who are as fundamentally sound as it gets. They're so efficient and steady, it's really remarkable. I think Pitt's depth in the backcourt is a big advantage for them in this game, but OSU will also be able to play at whichever pace they feel is best for them at home. It's really hard to give a prediction on this game; I don't think Pitt will lose 2 in a row, but I also can't see the Pokes dropping back-to-back games, especialy now that they're back home...

Wow, I hope it's that kind of a game, but I just don't see Oklahoma State having enough firepower on the wing without Muonelo to beat Pitt, like I said above.

But really, I just wanted to post to tell you that you never posted in the Week 2 Pick 'Em... don't give up so soon. [IMG]

[IMG] I meant to; my computer froze last night when I tried to submit my picks! I think the powers that be are trying to tell me I'm no good at predicting college ball games. I'll try it again right now [IMG]

EDIT: And now I remember why I didn't try it again last night - I already posted my picks; it's like the fifth or sixth post on the 1st page of this week's thread LOL

Marcus Dove has been huge on the glass for the Cowboys tonight.

    That makes 12 rebounds.

    Intentional foul against Pitt!

Eaton sinks both free throws to make it 82-89 w/ 17.6 second left.

Oklahoma State wins it 94-89 in 2 OT!

Hopefully this Duke-Gonzaga game will be just as good as this one.

I think Oklahoma State is one of the best teams in the nation with Mario Boggans, JamesOn Curry. and Byron Eaton leading them. I would'nt be suprised to see them making a big impact in March.

Schaddy, the prophet. Oklahoma State is more legit than I realized. All of this without Muonelo. I'm impressed to say the least. Gray was on fire too. [IMG]

^ Prophet? Check the Pick 'Em leaderboard! [IMG]

I didn't get to see as much of this game as I wanted to due to the awful Packers game, but it sure looks like it was a heck of a game. Huge win for the Pokes - and now there have to be some questions asked about Pitt, as they've lost two in a row and looked, well, bad against Buffalo.
