<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Threaten to win 20 games before Christmas, as the 19-7 Jazz do, and rave reviews roll.
They started, in fact, even before Utah left on a five-game excursion that continues tonight in Charlotte and concludes Saturday night in Memphis ? and haven't stopped as the road show worked its way east, then south.
"They are too solid," Indiana coach Rick Carlisle said after his Pacers fell to the Jazz last Sunday. "There is no slippage in their play. Utah is a model for any team in this league."
Utah experienced a rare blemish the next night, falling in overtime to New York, yet Knicks coach Isiah Thomas still spoke highly of the Jazz afterward, saying, "We were playing against an excellent basketball team, and a well-coached team."
"A great team," Atlanta coach Mike Woodson called the Jazz after watching Utah rally from a 21-point deficit with a 40-13 fourth quarter Wednesday ? its highest-scoring period of the season, incidentally.
Jazz coach Jerry Sloan, however, doesn't want to hear it.
"People talk about respect ? just go play," Sloan said.
Yet that's precisely what the Jazz have done ? just played ? and exactly why they are garnering so much respect around the NBA.
"This is probably the best team we've played all year, and they really showed why they're the best team in the NBA, because no matter what happens, they don't show very many emotions " Pacers star Jermaine O'Neal told reporters in Indianapolis after scoring 31 points against the Jazz ? and still losing. "They just come out with their hard hat and just play basketball, no matter what."</div>

    No slippage in our play?!

How about the 21 pt comeback by the Kings?! The 25 pt comeback by the Knicks?!

The Jazz are doing awesome this year, but they need to learn how to finish a game while ahead by 20 pts...
