Green Bay has come to terms with DT Ryan Pickett today. He's 26 years old 6-2 315 pounds and lead the league in tackles a year ago amoung all D-lineman.

Green Bay also resigned OL Kevan Barry to a 2 year deal and according to what I just heard on the radio they resigned DE Kenny Peterson as well.

Overall I like all the moves made today. At least we finally did something.

Pickett is a good signing. It helps that d-line getting better and better.

I wonder now that Rams lost 2 DTs, will they be looking at a DT like Bunkley in the draft?

They added La'Roi Glover, that replaced one of them.

Now if the Packers can re-sign Rod Gardner (which they are currently making a push to do), I'll be really impressed.

And, as I mentioned in another thread, they brought in Vinatieri today. I doubt they'll want to spend huge coin on him, but then again, they're the ones who invited him in. They must know what kind of money he'll be asking for (read: more than Longwell got from the Vikings).

Vinteari, Gardner, some kind of O Linemen to compete at gaurd, and a Veteran CB to compete. would work fine for our Free Agency, Maybe bringing in Will Allen from New York would be a good Idea? Heck Roman was drafted as a CB maybe we should give him the chance to compete as well as bring in a corner (although he swtiched to Safety for a reason I guess!).

Iv'e heard trade rumors about Adam Woolfolk of the Titans floating around.

Wish was granted. They resigned him to a one year deal today which is huge with the Walker situation.

So far Green Bay's off season has looked like this

Resigned Ahman Green to a one year cheap deal
Resigned Aaron Kampman to a 4 year deal
Resigned Kevan Barry to a 2 year deal
Resigned Kenny Peterson (not sure the details)
Resigned Rod Gardner to a one year deal
Signed Marquand Manuel to a 5 year deal
Signed Ryan Pickett to a 5 year deal

I love all the moves and we're not going to be done yet. Add a AJ Hawk, Haloti Ngata, or Mario Williams to the mix in round 1 and a quality player in round 2 and we're heading in the right direction.

It's Andre Woolfolk, lol. Sorry, I guess I'm on a name correction voyage today, oh well. Anyway...

Pickett is a huge signing for the Packers. Finally, a good, young DT for them. They went for years with big ol' veterans at that position.

Ben Taylor the LB from the Browns is expected to visit next week. I guess he really wants to play for the Packers according to his agent.

Also Green Bay is interested in 31 year old LB Derek Smith.. McCarthy probably likes him. from SF. Smith lead the Niners in tackles for 5 years in a row now.

Packers retained Colin Cole yesterday which was huge in my opinion. He looked impressive most of the time and started in a couple of games..

Could you make a post that shows which starters from last years 4-12 team are/will be gone and what players they've signed to replace those starters?

Well Ahman Green returns as the starter.. He'll likely compete with Samkon Gado or just split carries with him.

Kampman was a starter and has been for a couple of years now.

Kevan Barry is going to finally compete for a starting job. The Lions were trying to sign him to compete for a starting job in Detroit. Reason why Barry wasn't starting at guard a year ago is because Sherman thought he was to valuable in the U-71 package.

Gardner is pretty much a new addition. Was with us for 3 games last year.

Peterson add depth. Colin Cole will either start at DT or be rotated in.

Pickett is the replacement for Grady Jackson.
Marquand Manuel is going to be the replacement for Mark Roman.

    Grady Jackson is gone.
    Nail Diggs is gone.
Mark Roman will probably get released in June.
Ahmad Carroll is likely going to get replaced in the near future.
Pending the Draft KGB could be gone as well.

Defense of wise the Packers are still looking for 2 new starting LB's. A CB and probably another defensive lineman.

    On offense
    Mike Flanigan is still unsigned.
Javon Walker wants out hence the Gardner signing

On offense they're looking for another guard. My guess is they want Scott Wells to start at center or maybe Chris White.

If Favre retires then QB becomes a problem as well..

Packers signed former Dallas kicker Billy Cundiff but are still looking for competition for him in training camp..
