Hey, nu-metal is right up J_Ray's shallow alley. That will be perfect for him.

B- The song was okay I guess but it seemed a bit out of sync. I heard mostly drums through the whole thing. I know it's nu-metal, but just isn't quite what I like, like VC was referring to me.

Sorry for thrashing your song VC, will you accept my apology [IMG]

Here's some nu-metal for you VC since that's all I listen too.... [IMG]

Say what you will about the White Stripes, but Jack White is sorely needed in a time when emo and nu-metal dominates the mainstream rock landscape. This song in particular has a real Zeppelin feel to it. I heard them do it live the other night, so it's really growing on me.

Very fun and playful. I like the chicks voice, reminds me of some of Bjork's stuff. Speaking of Bjork...

Man, I'm really trippin hard over here, and that video scared the **** out of me, but in a good way. Nothing logical; just that the images picked up on fears burried in my subconscious. Bjork is amazing.

I absolutely love that song, and the video is just as fantastic. If you haven't heard, the whole album is awesome. You should check it out, it's easily one of my favorites of the year.

C+ Sorry the ADD 12-year old pre-teen, as VC called me, had to grade this song. It's a good song for people that like this music, but this song sounds boring to me. To tell the truth, the music sorta sounds like old folk music from the Great Depression that my History teacher played for us in class. Just gives out that boring, get down on yourself type vibe.

J_Ray, Rage is currently touring. They were just in Coachella, California.

This song's great, but what really makes it is the video. You've got to love the audio at the end, "a band called the Machine Rages On or Rage Against the Machine - that band is anti-family and it's pro-terrorist." [IMG]

You're boring. Eh, you'll grow out of that phase. I won't fight it.

B+ That song actually pretty good for a slower song. At first I thought the singer was Joakim Noah, I was like "WTF!?!?". Don't know what I liked about that song, just did [IMG]

The Sunstreak - "Great White Acoma"

It's the 1st song on the player, I promise it won't blow your ear drums out [IMG]

This song must be too loud for everyone, no one can reply after they lose their hearing or something......

Good one. If you really want some "loud music," hit me up. Though it won't have the monotonous vocalist like your example, or the horrid lyrics. They won't sing like girls either.

I'm sorry if I offended your taste in music or whatever, but that wasn't my intention.

It just that I feel that the vocals are whiney, angsty and they have a typical teeney-bopper voice. The guitar and bass don't really stand out to me either, it sounds like something off a Good Charlotte album or something.

Maybe it's just me, but hey we all have our preferences and opinions. You might think they're the greatest thing on the planet for all I know/care.

And I have not seen a rap recommendation on this thread as of yet. Maybe the only thing close to that is a couple of RATM recommedations.

That's what I was looking for [IMG] The rap recommendation thread leaves 5 word answers of what they thought of the song.....

I got loud music Sasha, trust me [IMG]

I like this song, but it's kinda funny that you replied to J_Ray about angsty singers. I agree completely with you, but I've always felt Matt Bellamy's voice was angsty as well. He always seems to sound the same too. I love his guitar playing though.

The clapping kind of ruined it for me, but either way, I thought it was an amazing performance.
